What is the highest CPU this can upgrade to?

It is not possible to upgrade the processor, but you could select a system with the processor you want. It may not be the G70 body though, you may have to select a different model.

I was wondering if Best Buy can add an Solid State Drive to this machine. Is there room for a second Drive.

Yes, check with your local store Geek Squad. There is not a slot for a second internal drive within this system.

How big is the battery for this laptop? Is it actually flush with the body or is it this bulky this that attaches to the bottom of the laptop that they don't show in any of the images?

I bought a brand "new" Lenovo G70-80 from BestBuy a couple of weeks ago. I never noticed until last night but the battery is not charging even though the adapter is plugged in.

Check to be sure that the battery has less than 80% charge. The battery will not charge if it already has a current charge of 80%. If the battery charge is less than that and it still will not charge, try updating drivers for power management for your system. You can follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers and look for power management updates for your specific system. Be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes, then create a new restore point once the issue is fixed. Here is the link:
