Can I use this as an occasional extended screen for my MacBook? If hooked up via HDMI? If so, would touch screen capabilities still work? Or is there anyway to do a screen extensions between the two?

Hi Jose,

The Yoga 7i's HDMI port supports video output and not video input, so the Yoga's display cannot be used in place of or to extend another computer's display in this way. Also, there is not a solution that we can recommend that will extend the display of both the Yoga 7i and Mac device simultaneously. The external display would have to switch from computer A (Yoga) to computer B (Mac) to extend the laptops' displays.

Is this laptop a good laptop to use for remote work?

That will depend on what software you may need for work and its subsequent system requirements, and your workflow. Often times workplaces may use specialized software for their employees which have their own requirements, and upon determining this, it can help to understand what systems may be compatible. Also, if you're a heavy multi-tasker, using several applications and web browsing windows at once, having a system with more than 8GB of memory (16GB being optimal), would increase your satisfaction now and into the future.
