Open-box items can be covered under manufacturer warranty. If you purchase an open-box Lenovo system and find that the warranty's length of coverage does not match what's set for that model device, we recommend visiting this Lenovo Support webpage: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/servicerequest?ProblemType=/warranty/, selecting “Warranty start date update”, supplying the respective information, as once given a proof of purchase, the support team may be able to set your manufacturer warranty start date to align with the date of purchase and the length of coverage to its respective duration.
