How many monitors can you connect to this computer? I tried connecting monitor trough thinkpad dock but it doesnt work

This IdeaCentre's port selection does not feature a port that supports USB-C dock use, which is why this didn't work for you. To speak to your question, the Tower features one video port at the rear; an HDMI port for output to one monitor. In theory, if you wanted to output to two more external displays, you'd have to use a USB video adapter that doesn't rely on DisplayPort (DP) Alt Mode for video output for it to work with this system.
