Dawn - The VTech CS6114 is a non-expandable unit, thus, you cannot add another handset to the system. However, you can connect another phone system on a different jack on the same line as the CS6114 but the cordless handset from one base will not communicate with the handsets from another base. Duke - The VTech CS6949 can only transfer a call from the base or one handset to another system handset but it does not have the capability to transfer or forward a call to a different phone number. Can I call in from a remote location to listen to my messages?

Hi - Yes, you can remotely access the built-in answering system of the VTech DS6251-2. Here's the procedure to remotely access the answering system.

1. Dial your phone number on any touch tone phone.
2. Once the answering system answers, enter your unique remote access code.
3. Enter a remote command.
