Hi - We are sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the VTech VM5254. Like many electronic devices, a reset may resolve the issue. To reset the baby monitor:

Step 1. Unplug the AC power for 1 minute.
Step 2. Turn off the parent unit by pressing and holding the POWER button.
Step 3. Slide the ON/OFF switch to OFF from the baby unit for 1 minute.
Step 4. Press and hold the POWER button on the parent unit and wait until they link back up. Reconnect and test.

If the issue still persists, please contact VTech Customer support for further assistance at 1-800-595-9511. We are open from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays. When calling, please have your model number handy: VM5254.

We are unable to delete the answering service message That says delete the message after the beep. Can you help.

Barbra - We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the VTech DS6151. Like many electronic devices, a system reboot may resolve the issue. You can try rebooting your phone system by disconnecting the power from the telephone base then unplugging the batteries on the cordless handsets for a minute. Reconnect and then try deleting the outgoing announcement of the answering machine. If this does not help, please contact VTech Customer Support for further assistance at 1-800-595-9511. We are open from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM PST, Mondays through Fridays. When calling, please have your model number handy: DS6151.

I purchased the DS6771-3 to replace the DS6472-6. The older phone would announce who the caller is but the DS6771-3 isn't. Why is this?

Darlene - The VTech DS6771-3 does not have the Caller ID announce feature. You may check the models VTech IS8151-3 and VS113-3 which have the feature you are looking for.

Hi - The VTech IS8151-5 has the option to adjust the listening volume on the handset or telephone base while on a call.

To adjust the listening volume of a handset:
• Press ▼ VOLUME ▲ on the handset while on a call.

To adjust the listening volume of the telephone base:
• Press + VOL - on the telephone base while on a call.

Our Vtech CS6229-4 needs to be replaced, since telephone company says the base unit is bad. What is the replacement model(s) for this CS6229 with the same features? Are the current accessory handsets CS6209 compatible or do they need to be replaced?

This VTech CM18445 corded phone is compatible with anywhere from 1 to 4 telephone lines and connects wirelessly with up to 10 handsets. The digital answering system records up to 180 minutes of messages, announcements and memos.
 

Wondering why our incoming messages are repeated. Say, we have 3 messages on our machine, they are doubled one after another totaling 6. I am not seeing a way to correct this in our manual. Thank you for your help.

Reconnect the AC power after a minute then test the phone again.
