If the PSP is still covered by the manufacturer's warranty I would call Sony at 1-800-345-7669. The manufacturer's warranty on a PSP is a one year parts and labor warranty. Put simply Blu-ray is the current high definition disc format. A Blu-ray player accepts Blu-ray discs, and outputs its signal in 1080p resolution. 1080p resolution is the highest high definition resolution currently available, but keep in mind that to enjoy the 1080p resolution the Blu-ray player would need to be connected to a TV that can display in 1080p resolution.
