More about output jacks?

I want to use this with a computer monitor and speakers to play DVDs. Does it have an audio/headphone output jack, as well as the sort of port into which one plugs a monitor (long ago I would have called it a serial port, thought I assume that description is dated. It's a narrow trapazoid with 15 prongs)?

The DVD-C350 doesn't have a PC output for a monitor. If your video card supports consumer electronic audio outputs, that might be an option. It be best to contact or speak further with a Best Buy representative regarding the details of your current configuration.

Is the power consumption really 77 watts as listed in specs?

That seems extremely low, and I saw this model listed as 130 watts on another site.

I have a queston about the Samsung - 840W 7.1-Ch. 3D Home Theater System does it come with Fm and Am radio tuner in it? Also are any of the speakers wireless? Thanks Nick

Although the HW-C770 will offer an FM tuner, it will not offer an AM tuner and will not offer Wireless Speakers.

Can you have surround in 1 room, and a still have speakers in another?

I'm curious to how this 7.1 breaks up. I'm interested in suround in 1 room (actually prefer 5.1 because of how room is set up), and a set of speakers in another room or outside. How would this work?

From the available information, all of the speakers are designed to work in concert with each other and should not be broken up into different rooms since each speaker only gets a portion of the sound.

what must it connect to in order to see a picture?

I plugged in the tv directly to the wall outlet, but the screen is black and white dots. the trouble shooting says it's not the tv itself. what external electronics must I plug into it? will a dvd player work? Does it require a HDMI cable?

All current generation Samsung TVs are digital cable and Antenna ready. All of our TVs include a coax ATSC/QAM tuner that handles digital and analogue broadcast signals as well. No external boxes or equipment needed to view your basic cable. An antenna is required for over the air broadcasts. Premium service may require additional equipment and fees. Please contact your service provider for details.

Additionally, you will need to run a channel scan before viewing any over the air or basic cable channels. You can find the scan in the TV's menu, under the "Channel" sub-menu.
