would it work with the wireless adapter WIS09ABGN?

is it 100% sure that the samsung wireless adapter will work on this blu-ray player model (BD-C5500) even if it is "refurbished"? because i've read in some websites that the adapter excludes this model number for some reason. thanks

I would suggest looking at the BD-C5500 and BD-C6500 Samsung Blu-Ray Players.

can a cd player and turntable be run through this equipment?

Since the HW-C770 offers several different inputs (HDMI, composite, component), you should be able to connect any number of different devices to it.

Can you play ipod videos on your tv thru this receiver?

I am wondering if you can watch videos from your ipod thru the ipod connector in this receiver?

As a matter of fact, video from an iPod should be viewable through the receiver (with a connected TV). For a full list of compatible iPods, please refer to page 26 of the unit's manual (downloadable from Samsung's website).

will these speakers work with another receiver or just this samsung receiver?

The speakers that come with the HW-C770 are specifically designed to work with this unit. There is no guarantee that these specific included speakers will be completely compatible with other manufacturer's products.

Does the 1.4 hdmi cable handle 600hz ?

All Samsung Plasma TVs offer a technology called 600Hz subfield motion. Basically for the 600Hz sub-field motion, the television shows you the image at the same refresh rate (60Hz) but flashes the individual pixels faster so the images appear smoother then on a regular 60Hz panel. In this case it flashes the pixels 10 times faster then normal. So 60 fps x 10 sub-field = 600 flashes of the pixels per second. This makes the images seem much smoother on the screen but it does not increase the actual frames per second. It is not exactly the same as the Hz on the LCD/LED Samsung TVs (which ultimately raise the frame rates of the images, giving you a "Hyper-Real" image) and can not be toggled on or off since it is always on. Coincidentally, the Samsung TVs can only accept a 60Hz signal and there are currently no consumer devices on the market that will transmit at over 60Hz (excluding some PCs). The 600Hz is actually handled by the on-board processors on the TV.

Plasma Burn in Issue.

Do the station identification symbols at the bottom of the screen have a tendancy to Burn In? For example when watching showtime network, on the lower right hand side of the screen they display their (SHOWTIME) emblem at the bottom of the screen the entire length of the show.

Plasma TVs are subject to screen burn in (image retention). However, image retention is much less likely to occur if you operate your Plasma monitor under normal conditions. Normal conditions are defined as continuously changing video patterns.

In general, you should avoid keeping a static picture (that is, a picture that contains no or few moving elements) or a picture with static elements (black bars, black borders, logos, etc.) on your Plasma monitor for extended periods of time.

Samsung has added a couple feature that will help to prevent and eliminate burn-in.

Current model Samsung Plasma monitors are equipped with a Pixel Shift function which reduces, but does not eliminate the possibility of screen burn in. There is also an All White Display function that can reduce or remove the effects of screen burn in.

Do you need special hdmi cables with a 3d tv ??

As a matter of fact, the 3D devices require HDMI 1.4 cables in order to transmit 3D signals.
