Regrettably, as of right now, Samsung only produces 15" laundry pedestals. However the actual height of the washer/dryer units can be adjusted by the pegs at the bottom of the unit, so this may still fit into your space. I would say measure the unit from the bottom of the actual unit and not from the floor and add the pedestal height. The unit should sit flush on top of the pedestal which would hopefully cut an inch from the entire setup.

The SC-MX20 does have some internal memory (about 50MB) but its really not enough to record anything at length. Using a High Capacity memory card (SD or MMC) will give you much more space to record.
