how do i transfer the video off my JVC mini DV to a computer?

I want to transfer the video from my JVC Mini DV camera to my laptop or desktop so it can be burned to a disc.
Most MiniDV camcorders have a Firewire (IEEE 1394) output connection that will connect to mini Firewire input on your laptop(if you have that connection port). You then use editing software to capture the footage.
If you do not have that connection you can get a DV bridge, such as the Pinnacle Dazzle, that connects to your USB port and allows you plug your camcorder in through the A/V (Audio Video) lines.

my camara is not working correctlly

my camaras flash stop working
There any number of things that could cause a flash to stop working. It could have been disabled in the menu settings of the camera, the light meter inside the camera could be faulty and not activating the flash or the gases inside the flash itself may be bad. It would be best to take it to your nearest Best Buy and let the Geek Squad take a look. They will advise you of the best action to take.

I have a Canon SD630 and my daughter is thinking of getting a SD890 IS. Are both batteries interchangeable to both camera? The salesperson at BBuy cou

Sorry to say they are not. Canon SD630 uses the NB 4L battery, the Canon SD890 IS uses the NB 5L. The NB 4L works on models up to the SD700 IS when the NB 5L takes over.
The shape is different also. The NB 5L is a rectangular battery with three contacts points on one end and the NB 4L is square shaped battery with three contacts on top.

Is a AC adapter included with the kodak-EasyShare M763

I need to know so i can make a quick stop at bestbuy and get it in black.
Yes. Power comes from a KLIC-7001 lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack, and an AC adapter for in-camera charging is included in the bundle.

Do you guys repair digital cameras?

Some minor repairs can be handled in the store, anything major will be shipped to an authorized repair center for that particular item.

Can I replace my flashbulb for my camera?

The bulb for my flash blew and I wanted to replace it. The camera is still great, just the bulb. Is there a way to replace it? Where and how? I have a Canon PowerShot SD550. Help:)
The “Flash” on cameras are a small, gas filled tube. Some times the gas looses it's ability to charge and discharge. The flash should be able to be replaced but the cost may exceed the worth of the camera. It would be best to take it to your nearest Best Buy and let the Geek Squad take a look. They will advise you of the best action to take.

Need the best digital camera for a safari

I'm going on an African Safari and have never had a digital camera. I'm thinking of a DSLR... but which one gives the best/highest optical zoom with the fastest pictures per second in all diff. kinds of light? Price range between $300-600. Please let me know soon
That sounds very exciting! You should get some wonderful photo opportunities. As to what camera to get you have several choices. Canon, Nikon, Olympus and Sony all have D-SLR models under the $600 range. They all have about the same average frame rate, about 3-4 FPS (Frames Per Second). Amount of megapixels vary a lot. The Nikon being the lowest (6mp) with Sony being the highest (10.1mp).
Low light situations can be handled by changing the ISO setting on the camera. The ISO is how sensitive the sensor is to light.
I would strongly suggest that you get an additional lens. A 300mm zoom lens will allow you to get wonderful closeup shots without getting close to your subject. It will also get you a soft DOF (Depth of Field) for that blurry background look. There is some times in store specials where you get a bundle purchase. The camera with standard lens plus the 300mm zoom lens at a price under $600.
Have a safe and fun trip!

Digital & standard camera combined

Are there any digital & standard cameras all in one?
There are not very many Digital/Film combination cameras but there are a few. KODAK PLUS DIGITAL, POLAROID I-ZONE, PANORAMIC VISION 16, and Leica R9.
Some manufactures like Hasselblad and Mamiya have interchangeable backs that allows the use of either Digital or film (35mm to medium and large format).

WHAT IS THE BEST KNID OF CAMCORDER TO GET?

AS IN LIKE A DVD ONE,MINI DV ONE,A HARD DRIVE ONE,A HD ONE,OR A FLASH MEMORY ONE
They all have different benefits depending on the needs you have for the camcorder. If editing is important to you a MiniDV is the easiest to edit with. If you need a VERY small camcorder than the Flash based camcorders are some of the smallest made. Record lengths vary with DvD being the shortest (30mins at QH) and Hard Drive based being the longest. Quality of the video will depend on size and amount of CCDs (Video Chip) and if High Definition or Standard Definition. I use a MiniDV for my editing and a Flash Based for daily carry.
