Yes. Most camcorders have a “Photo” button on top of the camcorder, usually near the zoom control, that will take a photo and store it either to the video media as a still image or to the memory media as a photo image (depending on which is selected). When recorded as a still image it will be about 10 seconds long and audio will active to be recorded as a narration track. The photo image, when set to memory, will be limited to the screen resolution that the video is set to. Keep in mind that the megapixel count will not be of the same size as a digital still camera. My rule is: Video camera = Big Video, Little picture. Digital Camera = Big Picture, Little Video
