i lost my camcorder in an accident and all i have is the dvc or the small cassette. how can I watch or retrieve the footage withouth buying a new camcorder?

If it was a Mini DV than it should play on any Mini DV camcorder. It does not have to be the same brand or model. If you have a friend or relative with a Mini DV they could play the tape and make a recording for you. If not, than contact a Duplication House in your area. They can usually work with All format and make you a copy any the format of you choice. If you have a lot of tapes it would be best to invest in a new camera.

what camcorders offer their menus in korean

Some menus are regional and need to be purchased in that country. There may be a few manufactures that my include Korean as an “add setup” option. Check with Sony and Hitachi to start with.

Can Mac edit videos from hard drive camcorders?

Want to buy camera I can edit videos with my Mac with no problems. MiniDV or Hard drive?

It depends on if you want a MiniDV or Hard Drive based Camcorder.
It is not so much that the Camcorder is compatible with a Mac but that the editing software is able to use the file from the camera because most hard-drive camcorders record video in a format iMovie can’t read. The file has to be converted to a .mov file. Most Mac's should import the .avi file from ad Mini DV. For some more information on Mac's and Camcorders check out this site.
