What type of memory card?
I'm considering purchasing the new Insignia™ - 12.0-Megapixel Digital Camera but I'm having trouble finding the right brand of memory card. I cannot find any Insignia cards. Which brands will work with this camera?
Any brand SD or SDHC should work fine.

Is ther a HDMI to component cable coonverter?
There have been HDMI to Component cables made. I cant say how the reliability and quality of picture would be.

JVC has made a weather proof camcorder that would stand up to humidity well.
On average flash based camcorders would probably "weather" better than most.

what other tape bsides a tdk will fit a jvc camcorder
i'm in search of a tdk video tape for a jvc camcorder. have searched wal-mart and they no longer carry them. what other tape will fit the jvc camcorder? sony is to big for it to fit. the tape has to have square edges.
Without knowing if your camcorder is a MiniDV or VHS-C or Digital8 or ????

will an old nikkor work on a digital slr?
I have a Nikon AF nikkor 70-300mm lense that works with my nikon n55. I would like to buy a digital slr camera and would still like to be able to use the lense with the new camera. Will they work together?
Some older Nikon film lenses will work with some of the Digital-SLR camera. It is best to search for the exact lens model that you have and which camera bodies are most compatible with it.
Keep in mind that film lenses used with digital bodies of the APS-C type sensor have a 1.6x conversion factor.
That makes your 70-300mm more of a 112-480mm lens.
Full size sensors are 1 to 1 factor.

I am buying a new tv and I would like to be able to hook up my laptop and run slide shows of digital photos on the tv screen. What features do I need to have in the tv to allow this to happen. Thanks
Most LCD TVs have a VGA input. Confirm that the TV you are looking to purchase has a VGA input and you should be able to connect your laptop with no problem.

why do things look squaty on some tvs
There are several different screen formats other than 4:3 and 16:9. There is also...1.85:1...2.38:1.
A video made in one format and played back on another my make distortions.
There might be a button on your remote for the TV to switch between settings to help compensate for this.

How can you receive digital broadcast tv? I have a new flat screen and a DVD player, now what?
It would be helpful to know which brand and model TV you have.
'The TV should have an antenna input and a choice in the menu settings for setup channel selection.
Connect an external antenna and set the channel setup.
If it is a HD ready TV it probably does not contain a built-in HDTV tuner and you will need to add a Top Box to receive off air HDTV.

Why is my portable DVD player saying "No Valid Disc"
This player is a Toshiba and worked before now all of a sudden it won't see the DVD's. I have cleaned it still nothing. It turns but it just says No Valid Disc". I have even tried the movies that played before?
Two possible common problems might be at work here.
First...put a disk in, close the lid...wait a few seconds..open and see if the disk is in the EXACT POSITION as when you first put it in.
If it is the disk is not spinning up and the player needs to be serviced.
The other problem isn't as easy to test. If you have used the Player alot the laser might have become too weak to properly read a disk.
