megapixels
what is the higest megapixels camera that sony carries
The Sony a850 and a900 are both at 24.6 megapixels with full size sensors.

The videos I downloaded from my Nikon P100 don't play
The pictures downloaded fine but the videos don't play. They all have a quicktime logo but give an error message when you click on it to see it. Quicktime is loaded from the CD that came with the camera. Any help?
There might be a few different issues happening, any one of which could cause an error.
The first might be the video card on your computer might not be able to play HD video and/or the directX or other drivers may need updating.
Depending on the operating system a higher service pack might also be needed.
From what little I could find it does require Windows 7, XP Pro(SP3) or Vista.

SD card, Memory full
I have a Jazz DVZ100 10mp Digital camcorder. I just bought a pny optima sd 2gb card. I formated the card useing the camcorder but im still geting a memory full message. I dont know what im doing wrong can someone please help!!!
The camera might have some internal memory that is full. Evan though you have formatted the external or SD memory you might have to set it to the SD memory to use it. Check for this in the Menu settings or look in your users manual for Memory Settings.

Do I need an ext. flash to take stills with a flash memory camcorder?
That would all depend on if it is too dark for photos without flash. A camcorder should be sensitive enough to get photos without flash but they might look grainy.

Can you request a type of lens for purchase?
I've been looking for a canon 50mm f/1.4 USM lens but the website only carries that specific lens for nikons only....is there a way to request a canon lens to buy?
We do have a 50mm f/1.2 USM lens in the Canon L series. That's a little faster lens than the f1.4

SLR Lens
I have older 35 mm SLR bayonet style lens for a yashica camera. will these fit any DSLR cameras?
As of the moment there is no D-SLR that can use the Yashica lenses that I know of. There might be an adapter or some DIY steps that might make these lenses usable.

I'm going to a festival which will have camp fires as the only source of light. What still and video cameras will capture faces without flash or floodlights?
A Digital-SLR would be best because of manual settings. By setting the ISO to 800 or higher you will not need a Flash and a tripod probably wont be needed. There will be a little graininess (noise) but most cameras have good noise reduction built in.
Long exposure settings will get you blurry pictures because your subjects will be in motion.
You will have some extreme shadows because fire light is very directional.
As for a camcorder ...fire light should be enough to get video.

Most likely yes...however there is a conversion factor involved.
35mm lenses on digital bodies usually have a conversion of 1.6 unless the digital camera is a Full Frame sensor.
That means a 50mm lens for a film camera will work like a 80mm on a digital-slr body.
