What is Canon Focus Range 3'-infinity means?
If you have the lens focus set to 3'...it means that anything closer than 3 feet to the camera will not be in sharp focus. Infinity is the setting to use for really far distant objects like the Moon or mountains.

olympus E-PL1 - does it have a built in flash?
I've read reviews for this camera all over the web, and everyone mentions it comes with a pop-up flash. Can someone confirm before I buy? Thanks.

Yes it does have a pop-up flash. It is offset to the left side of the camera. Google Olympus E-PL1 and click "Images" when the results come up and you will see pictures of how the flash looks opened.

do you carry an camcorders with Line Input Recording
Some of the semi-pro camcorders from Canon and Sony have Line and Mic inputs. The mid range and lower consumers camcorders usually have a bi-directional A/V (Audio Video) cable that does dual duty. When the camcorder is in VTR mode for playback it is a out cable, when in record it becomes a input line. Most camcorders disable or use the A/V cable as a output only when in camera mode.

Some Nikon lenses from Film SLR cameras do have compatibility issues. It would be best to search for the specific lens you have to see what Nikon Digital-SLR cameras it will work with.

i have a finepix s1000 camera. it has protected card on the screen . how do i get this setting off the screen?
Along the side of the card is tiny slider switch that can easily get flipped to the ON position that write protects the card. Moving it to the OFF position should take of the problem.

will the older 35mm canon rebel auto focus lenses work on the digital canon rebel camera's?
If it is a EOS EF lens it should work. There is a conversion factor of 1.6 to keep in mind.
That makes this lenses focal length longer than what it is marked at by multiplying the number by 1.6. For example if it is a 55-170mm film lens used on a digital slr it would work as a 88-272mm lens.

Yes. Look for Monochrome setting in the Picture Control area. Monochrome is another way of saying Black and White.

new camcorder to play back anologue 8mm
My old sony ccd fx630 won't play back. Is there a repair or better to find new camcorder that will play old tapes. If so which new cams will work?
8mm, High8 and Digital 8 are no longer made. As for repairing the old unit it might be more expensive to get it working again than is worth putting into it.
You might want to look for a used unit and get those old tapes copied to a DvD. There is still a few places on line that have some. Most Digital 8 will also play back 8mm tapes.
There also might be a Duplication House in your area the could convert the tapes to another format for you.
