Format a Memory Card?

Do I need to format a SDHC memory card? What if I don't?
It will still work...but it is recommended that you format it for YOUR camera for best performance.

how to get camera to print date and time

I have a brand new EOS REbel T1i 500D. I set the time and date as called for but can't find anything in the book that tells the camera to print it on every picture. Can anyone help?
The time and date stamp is usually done through the printing process or at the photo shop that does the prints for you. The information is encoded in the image and retrieved when printed.

I need the best quality camera for taking picts for advertising and enlarging but dont want to break the bank. What do you recommend?

Need to take picts for Advertising and publishing so I need the best type of camera for still shots, and best quality for printing and enlarging.

Use in a warehouse setting so light is not the best all the time. do use out doors at times. will need to enlarge picts up to 24 x 36 so will need good quality picts.
There are many cameras that will fit the bill. Any of the entry level Digital-SLR cameras will shoot a large enough image to give you a print that big.
Even though the Advanced Compact cameras look similar to a Digital-SLR the sensor is considerably smaller and you may not be happy with the enlargements.

How to take good picture when kids play music in the big room has black curtan. I has aCanon Rebel 10 MP, lens 18-55mm. Thank you.

You will need to change some settings on the camera.
First put the camera in "P" mode with the dial on the top.
Second change the metering setting to "Spot". This will allow you to put the dot inside the viewfinder on the exact spot you want to sample the lighting to set the camera.
Now set the ISO of the camera to 200. This might increase to 400(or more) if the room is too dark.
The next part takes some imagination. Ignoring the Black Backdrop, you have to imagine the kids in black and white. Now with the brightest part of the kids being the high end and the darkest, not counting the black behind them, as the low end, put the dot in the viewfinder on what you would consider the middle brightness and press the shutter button half way and keep it pressed.
Now point the camera keeping the shutter button half pressed to compose the shot. When ready push the button the rest of the way to take the picture. If it comes out too dark or blurry change the ISO to 400 up to 800.
Try to avoid using the flash.
Good Luck.

how do you expand a 50D to 6400 iso or higher?

To access the higher ISO ability you'll need to enable the ISO expansion. To Enable ISO expansion go to the menu - Custom Function 1-3 then set option 1; expands ISO to 6,400 (H1) and 12,800 (H2)
H1 and H2 should now be added to your ISO options.

Do you have tools which will help me convert 8mm movies in to DVD
The Pinnacle Dazzle is made for just this sort of work. It connects to your computer and allows you to connect to your camcorder for easy DvD creation.

how or what i need to get or do to get the pictures i saved on my micro sd onto my computer

If it is a Motorola phone you will most likely need to use Motorola Tools, a software sold at the phone stores. If it is another manufactures phone there might be specific tools need to retrieve pictures from their phone.
The micoSD should have came with a SD adapter. Try using it to plug the card directly to the computer, you might not need any special software to see the photos.

Why blurry action shots?

I have a cannon rebel and it takes awesome pictures. I also bought a close up lens. Why does my action shots come out blurry? I put in on sports. Any suggestions?
The "Sports" setting on most cameras work best in outside lighting conditions. If you are getting blurry photos it might be that the shutter speed is too slow for the light that is being let in. Go to manual settings and try this:
ISO at 400-800(above 400 might be a little grainy)
Aperture at 8-16
Shutter 1/120 and faster.
These numbers will need to be adjusted for the lighting conditions but should be a good starting point.
Just as a reminder...photos can be posted to illustrate the problem.

What is image sitching

When shooting a large panoramic photo, for example a mountain range, the photographer might "pan" the camera and take 2 or more photos. These photos will be overlayed edge to edge to combine making one VERY long picture. This overlaying is commonly called "Stitching".
