Solid Basic Player Ready to Expand Capabilities

The LG - UP970 - 4K Ultra HD 3D Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-Ray Player is a capable unit that does it's job very well. A promised update will bring Dolby Vision capabilities to it soon, which will round out it's basic feature list. This player is the start of my move towards 4K, Ultra HiDef, Dolby Vision, etc. Therefore, I can't comment on the Hi Res quality. However, it has already done a great job of making my standard Blu-rays look even better on my existing TV. As has been mentioned by others, there's only Netflix and YouTube 4k wifi streaming options and we can only hope that list will be expanded by future updates (as when Dolby Vision is added). For now, I just can't wait to get my Ultra HD TV!

Great Balance of Price and Performance

I have to start by saying that I love the blue camo. That, of course, is entirely personal preference. But these gaming headphone really hit the sweet spot as far as great features for an affordable price. They're light. They're comfortable for extended use. They sound good for general use - and the surround sound feature is helpful for getting a spacial sense of where things are at in appropriate games. Nothing negative for me. A good, affordable choice.

GREAT FOR QUICK HEALTHY MEALS FOR 2-4

I'm really enjoying cooking on the Philips - Viva Collection Hot Air Fryer. Just got it this week and have done multiple dishes of veggies, steak and pork. All have come out delicious. The meat stays juicy and it's great to use little or no oil. It doesn't take long to figure out how the unit works, but you'll probably find yourself experimenting some to dial in the best method for your needs. This unit has the mechanical timer, which works great. However, if you want a few more features, like a warmer, you may want to opt for the slightly more expensive model. The only negative would be the limited capacity, but that's to be expected with the technology. It was plenty for my wife and I.

Useful for Special Needs

I was underwhelmed by the LG - TONE Studio HBS-W120 Wireless In-Ear Headphones when I tried them out for the advertised purposes. A neck-based surround sound unit was an intriguing idea, but the reality with these is disappointing. I expected the sound to be a high-quality surround sound experience with solid bass. Instead it's a couple small speakers on each side and vibrations for the low frequencies instead of actual bass. If you switch to the in-ear buds you also get cheap sound quality.
I would have given these an even lower rating if it weren't for an unexpected discovery.
We have a special-needs grandson, Hunter, who has no mobility or normal communication skills and has very limited cognition. Although his family includes him in most outings and activities, his main enjoyment is watching old Disney cartoons, which bring him continuous joy. This necessitates the constant presence of an iPhone or iPad for his use. When in group settings, there's a conflict between the sound of his videos and whatever else is going on. During a recent visit, it occurred to us that the LG - TONE Studio HBS-W120 Wireless In-Ear Headphones might be an ideal solution for Hunter. So we fired them up, easily paired them to his devices, and tried them out. THEY WORK GREAT FOR HIS SPECIAL NEEDS! They bring the sound close to him and stay in place (neither in-ear, or over-the-ear headphones work for him). My son and daughter-in-law are thrilled with this and excited at the genuine enhancement this arrangement will bring to a variety of situations for Hunter and those with him. We're all so glad we discovered this application.
So, though I would not recommend these for their intended use, I would recommend them to someone with special needs or a similar, special application. Thus, my recommendation below is for that scenario.

Superior Laptop/Tablet

The Dell - XPS 2-in-1 13.3" Touch-Screen Laptop is simply an amazing laptop. It's thin, light and sleek form factor looks great, feels very mobile and yet absolutely solid. The infinity screen is wonderful and contributes to the unit's small size. I enjoy it's backlit keys and responsive keyboard.
This unit from Best Buy is, I believe, the 'best buy' in that you can get more ram and storage for less than elsewhere. The fingerprint sensor is nice, though it usually takes me 2-3 tries before recognition. I've just started using the face recognition feature and it seems to work about the same as the fingerprint sensor. I have the standard 1080 res screen which is adequate, but the higher resolution would be worth considering if this is to be your main computer. The trackpad tends to be a bit sticky - especially when in the Edge browser. However, because I'm new to Windows 10, I don't know if that's a hardware or software issue. I am finding that there are subtleties to how I use it that seem to improve with experience.
Tablet mode is very comfortable and I'm looking forward to trying out the stylus. It's unfortunate that the unit does not come with a stylus, so I have to wait for the one I, subsequently ordered, to arrive.
As others have mentioned, the lower cameras give a natural horror-film perspective. It's easily remedied by a slight change in angle and would only be a serious issue for those who use their cameras often.
All-in-all, this is a superior laptop with a premium feel, a great form-factor, and top-of-the-line power and specs.

The JLAB® - JBuds Pro Wireless In-Ear Headphones are clearly competing in the extremely affordable slice of the wireless earbud market. You can get slightly better bass and overall sound in the high-end class, which will cost 4-6 times as much. But for low-cost options, this is at the top. Pairing was quick and simple. Sound is clear at higher volumes and there is more bass than I was expecting. My music retained a great, full-spectrum sound. No complaints - very satisfied.

Excellent - I've Rediscovered Music and Sound!

The Sonly HT-ST5000 Soundbar is awesome. Admittedly, it's not inexpensive, but it's worth every bit of the price. My last soundbar was old and basic, but an improvement over TV speakers. The Sony system revived my appreciation of good music and quality sound.
Basic installation was simple. It was up and working for TV sound quickly. I was a bit overwhelmed by the vast number of features and options when I previewed the manual. However, once I sat down and began to work with it I found it very accessible. The full set-up was new to me in that you plug your video accessories (devices) into the soundbar and it send a single HDMI out to the TV from which you control your sources, the soundbar and all of it's features. It actually works great. I plugged my Apple TV, Roku and Xbox into the bar and choose what I watch or listen to via the on-screen controls. Simple and elegant.
The Sound is EXCELLENT and the choices of 'modes' for Clear, Movie, Music, Sports, Surround, etc. are very good. It includes 2 levels of 'Voice' settings for dialog and I found it far superior to other attempts at bringing dialog out while keeping it natural-sounding.
Other features I've used so far include: 1) playing Pandora via my iPhone thru Bluetooth 2) Playing music via my Google Home thru the soundbar's built-in Chromcast, and 3) transferring the sound from my Echo Dot thru Bluetooth.
Perhaps if it hadn't been so long since I'd heard sound through such a good system, I might not be as enthusiastic as I am. But since getting the Sonly HT-ST5000 Soundbar, I've actually sat down just to enjoy music. Something I haven't done in a long time.

Great Robo Cleaner at a Good Price

I've been using robot vacuums for a few years and am a fan. The Samsung - POWERbot R7040 is my first experience with a next-generation model. There are great improvements in this one over my previous, 'bumper-car' versions: 1) Much better normal cleaning 2) option of a powerful turbo-cleaning mode 3) camera-aware movements which reduce the 'bumper-car' approach radically 4) options for manually controlling direction, spot cleaning, and repeat cleaning 5) an app that can control it from anywhere (and gives a diagram of where it went after a cycle) 6) a remote controller that can control it from anywhere in the home and manually direct it's path 7) a much more accessible, top-loading dirt collector that is easy to empty and clean.
It was very easy to set up and start in auto mode. For me, dialing in the added features took some time and trial and error. Better instructions on these features would be a big help. For instance, in manual mode, I would click the directional arrow and it would stop but not move in the desired direction. It took awhile to discover that it wasn't just a matter of clicking, but you have to click and hold the arrows in the direction you want it to go (duh). Once I discovered this, it worked very well (though the sensitivities of manually controlling it are best left for directing it into an adjoining room when you're in a hurry for it to find it's way there - and not in the mood to carry it). I'm also not yet clear on how well the Spot function works. This is too early of a review to address that.
All-in-all I'm very pleased with the way the POWERBot 7040 works. It is powerful, smart, simple and affordable!

I don't have a lot of experience with different carpet cleaners so I wasn't sure what to expect when I got the BISSELL - ProHeat 2X. What I found is it works Great, was much easier to assemble and use than I anticipated, and the attachments for cleaning especially difficult stained areas were excellent for the job. The key, initially, is to take the time to read the instructions carefully. Once assembled, it was very easy for a novice to figure out and use. On top of this, it is light and easy to move, yet very solid. I've got no 'cons' on this. Great Product!

The LINKSYS EA9300 MAX-STREAM AC4000 TRI-BAND WI-FI ROUTER is a solid, powerful and fast router with the latest tech and ability to be upgraded for future features. The speeds I'm getting with the new Tri-Band MU-MIMO tech are amazing. Set up was simple and fast and the companion website and/or App features are easy to work with and give a wide range of options for how you manage your network. Parental Controls very helpful. This is a single unit with wide coverage and it's design is the traditional black router with multiple antennas. I'm intrigued by the mention of it's ability to be upgraded for future features.

Apartment use. Currently have a TimeWarner modem router and an extender in living room. parts of living room are slow and gaps. will these replace the modem router and will range be better?
I had a similar set-up as you describe. You will still need the modem function of your modem router to supply the internet signal from TimeWarner, but if you connect via ethernet from your existing modem router to the ORBI system, you should get a stronger system and better speed. I'm not with TimeWarner, but I had purchased and was using a modem router. After installing ORBI as described above, the strength and speed of my signal increased measurably. Remember that the wifi cannot make the speed greater than what arrives via your provider, but a better system, such as the ORBI, can bring the wireless signal closer to the actual ethernet speed. That's what it did for me.

So if it comes with two, I'm assuming you have one that internet is linked to by cable and the other is used as a extender? Or do you have to have both units hooked to cable?
You are correct. There is the Router unit, which must be connected by ethernet to your cable or dsl provider, and there is the Satellite unit which connects wirelessly with the main Router unit and extends the same signal with the same wifi name.

Will this product cover a 2000 sq. ft., one level house with only one (1) WiFi Name? The reason for this question is I'm currently using an extension to my router which has given the front of the house a different wifi name from the back of the house.
Yes. That's one of the advantages of this system versus a basic range extender, with the ORBI it's all the same wifi name. Plus, if you desire, you can pick up the satellite unit and move it according to you needs. It only takes 1-2 minutes for it to reconnect with the main router.
