A lot of Bluetooth portability for a good price

The Aquaphonics AQ9 Portable is a solid small Bluetooth speaker that focuses on being portable, rugged and waterproof. It meets all of these goals excellently. A particularly nice design feature is how the handle doubles as a carabiner. I've found that extremely useful. The 16 hours of battery provides all that's needed for a full day's use. The only thing that kept me from giving this great product a 5-star rating is the sound quality. This is a handy, rugged functional speaker. It put's out impressive sound levels. However, the sound quality is good - not great, not poor, but good. If you're looking for that elusive high-quality sound in a small speaker, this is not it. Personally, for it's focus, the sound quality of the AQ9 is absolutely sufficient for it's practical uses.

Cool and Handy for Specific Uses

The Polk - Bit Portable Bluetooth Speaker is a tiny speaker (think of a box of Tic Tacs) that is a slight improvement over most smartphone speakers. In my case, my iPhone 7Plus was louder and clearer, but the Bit did offer a very slight improvement in lower tones. Not Bass by any means, but more lower tones than the iPhone.
So for me, the attraction is in the portability and simple functionality. it has a standard USB plug for charging and offers multiple features via 2 buttons. It's design includes a strong clip for attaching to your pocket or collar, or wherever, and it stays in place very well. I enjoyed taking a walk with my wife and having music to accompany us. It also works as a speaker phone and I was able to take calls on it.
It is not for large, enhanced sound like bigger bluetooth speakers, it's a gadget that can be useful in the right circumstances.
The only negative is that it's price makes you stop and think whether or not you really need it. If it were slightly less expensive, you'd probably just grab it without a thought.

Cures a dead spot, but not overall signal strength

The WeBoost Eqo Cell Signal Booster comes packaged in an attractive box. Everything is clear and simple to set up. A card inside recommends using an online source for setup instructions instead of the included printed version. However, I did not find online videos or instructions specific to the Eqo and actually found the printed installation guide very helpful and easy to follow.
I tried the unit at a mountain cabin with a signal that 'floats' in and out. From this I learned that this will only help if you at least have a basic, steady signal. So don't expect it to grab a signal out of the ether - you'll be disappointed.
Then I set it up at my home where I have a fair to lower-good signal. The initial setup is very easy and straightforward. Then comes the fine-tuning. I tried 3 different locations and adjustments in order to get the best signal. I also used 'Field Test Mode' on my iPhone to take multiple readings at multiple locations with each setup. The truth is, I was disappointed. I expected a clear, significant boost to signal strength. While I saw a slight improvement, I was only bumped to up the the 'excellent' signal level (-90db or less) on a couple readings (which varied with each reading). I DID GET A VASTLY IMPROVED SIGNAL WHEN SETTING MY PHONE NEXT TO THE BOOSTER ANTENNA. But that was the only place where that happened.
BOTTOM LINE: If you have a home or office that has a specific dead spot that's crucial for receiving better signal, this will probably work very well for you. If you're looking for a significant boost to your signal throughout your home or office, this may not be the best choice. I believe one of WeBoosts other offerings may be better for that.

Decent Wireless In-Ear Headphones for Active Types

The primary focus for these in-ear headphones is clearly for those who are dedicated to serious exercise and sports activities. The over-the-ear approach assures they'll stay on. The app is about exercise, health, run tracking, heart-rate and other activities. If this describes you then these probably deserve a higher rating. My review is more on the basics - connecting, sound quality, fit, ease of set up.
- They come in a nice package that exudes quality and include a water resistant pouch
- The printed documentation is in such fine print I could not read most of it. I could make out the start up guide - barely. It assumed a lot and so I had to make some guesses. Thankfully, I was mostly right.
- There were only a few passing references to the App in the written info. The information left me feeling this is for a target market that has some prior knowledge that I'm not part of. This reinforced the sense that this product is exclusively focused on it's target audience.
- Once charged, pairing was fairly standard. No unusual problems.
- Initial sound lacked base. After changing the buds it improved but is not as strong as others I've used.
- Changing the buds is not easy, which insures they'll stay on.
My overall impression is that these are fine in-ear headphones that are targeted at extreme activity applications and health tracking and not the general listening market. If that's you, these are worth a closer look and I would recommend that you read reviews from those who are part of the target market.

Awesome System, Set-up and Coverage

Routers have come a long way since I set up my first, geeky-looking unit years ago. However, the latest advances seem to be a quantum-leap. The Linksys Velop Whole Home WiFi System is a prime example. I got the 3-piece complete system.
• The packaging is very attractive and well thought out and impressed me before I even began setting the system up.
• Setup was the smoothest I have experienced: Get the App (iOS or Android), Unplug the old router, plug in a Velop unit and use the App to walk you through the 2 steps needed to get it online. What that involved was clicking the 'continue' button twice! Oh, and also indicating what room in the house that particular unit is in.
• Once the first unit has been setup, you place your other units in appropriate places, plug them In and, once again, use the App for set up. For the additional units, the set up includes an evaluation of whether or not the location is optimal or not. After indicating the room they are each in, you're done.
• A smooth, simple setup is great, but what about function? The Velop system promises to deliver optimum speed at each location and I found the speed constant and very fast.
• The Linksys App is also a step up from previous versions. Very easy to work with, adjust settings, apply controls, prioritize devices, etc.
• The Velop nodes also have a nice look for being set up where they can be seen. You wouldn't identify them as routers without prior knowledge.
• The Velop system is not cheap, but it is solidly in line with comparable systems. It does not offer USB connectivity. However it does offer Bluetooth capabilities and will work with Amazon's Alexa. The only other consideration is that you must use the iOS or Android App to set the unit up.

Good, Flexible Steam Mop

The Shark - Genius Steam Pocket Mop is a flexible solution for small to medium-sized requirements.The pads are very easy to attach without bending over and are reusable. The steam-blast mode puts out a powerful spray (though it requires that you lift up the mop and flip the pad over). The mop is flexible and very easy to use for getting around and under various furniture and cabinets. The usable pad surface is effectively doubled by the feature where you flip it over and use the other side. For it's price range, this is a very solid offering.
A few suggested improvements: The instructions call for changing the handle when using it in hand-spray mode, which is only for the purpose of changing from having the water refill container clipped on the handle - to having a clip for the hand-spray bottle (unnecessary inconvenience); the mop does not stand up by itself and there is no system for hanging it up when finished.
The unit comes with a helpful long cord and one other nice touch was that the instructions were entirely in English without the confusion of sorting through a mixture of other languages. I assume they make it available in other languages in a similar easy-to-read format.
Again, for the price-range, this is a very capable, flexible steam-mop system for small to medium requirements.

Solid, Mid-level Video Editing Software

Adobe's Premiere Elements 15 is a solid video editing program that most would consider a step up from entry-level consumer offerings. It has a number of new add-ons aimed at automatically creating quick movies from your existing files. I had mixed results with those, but that's normal (in my experience) with auto-created media. If you pick and order your clips carefully before using them you may get decent results. However, this program is great for diving in and building your own movies using the many powerful tools. If you're used to the Adobe UI, you'll find this a great deal and familiar. If not, it may take some time to get up-to-speed with it's approach. I used the Mac version and found the UI counter intuitive to what I'm used to. All-in-all I would still recommend this program - especially for those looking for a less expensive version of Adobe video power.

Quality, Reasonably Priced, Full-Featured Trimmer

The Philips Norelco - Multigroom Series 7400 Wet/dry Trimmer is definitely a full-featured trimmer. I was a bit overwhelmed with the various trimming heads and guides until I took a couple of moments to scan the included information. Once I began using it, I was immediately impressed with the range of uses which I've already found helpful. It feels solid, powerful and cuts very well. I haven't had it long enough to give a sense of it's endurance, but I can't see any reason for it not serving me well for years to come.

Great Assistant that can only get Better

The Google Home is my first experience with this kind of tech and I'm enjoying it much more than I anticipated. It feels so much freer to verbally give commands without taking my phone out of it's pocket. The daily summary, music and answers to random questions is simple and just works. Beyond that, the possibilities will only continue to grow as more services and functions are added. It has a small group of smart home providers and that number will increase. The more you are personally connected with the Google eco-system, the more you will benefit from the Google Home immediately. Either way, it's a great device that I am thoroughly enjoying. My wife and I are already negotiating when and where who gets to use it! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because it still needs to mature in some of it's 3rd party options.

What about replacement pads?
You can order additional replacement pads when needed. However, the mop comes with 2 pads and they may be washed and reused many, many times before you might need a replacement.

Apartment use. Currently have a TimeWarner modem router and an extender in living room. parts of living room are slow and gaps. will these replace the modem router and will range be better?
I had a similar set-up as you describe. You will still need the modem function of your modem router to supply the internet signal from TimeWarner, but if you connect via ethernet from your existing modem router to the ORBI system, you should get a stronger system and better speed. I'm not with TimeWarner, but I had purchased and was using a modem router. After installing ORBI as described above, the strength and speed of my signal increased measurably. Remember that the wifi cannot make the speed greater than what arrives via your provider, but a better system, such as the ORBI, can bring the wireless signal closer to the actual ethernet speed. That's what it did for me.

So if it comes with two, I'm assuming you have one that internet is linked to by cable and the other is used as a extender? Or do you have to have both units hooked to cable?
You are correct. There is the Router unit, which must be connected by ethernet to your cable or dsl provider, and there is the Satellite unit which connects wirelessly with the main Router unit and extends the same signal with the same wifi name.

Will this product cover a 2000 sq. ft., one level house with only one (1) WiFi Name? The reason for this question is I'm currently using an extension to my router which has given the front of the house a different wifi name from the back of the house.
