You can not play games on this computer other than those that would run in a web browser. The idea behind a Chromebook is that its simplicity allows you to obtain better performance for your dollar than would be possible with a Windows laptop. There are whole lot less headaches too. For example, you can't get viruses so there is no need for antivirus programs. The constant updating, defragmenting, and scanning can go away and you can just turn the computer on and use it. You push the power button and you're online within literally 8 seconds or less.
If you want to get an idea of what you can run on a Chromebook do this:
1. Install the Google Chrome web browser.
2. Go to the Chrome Web Store and have a look at the apps.
There are some games that can run in the Chrome web browser. You're basically limited to anything that you can visit in a Chrome web browser because that is what a Chromebook is, a web browser.
I have an older version of this Chromebook and I love it. I have a powerful desktop but I use my Chromebook 95% of the time because I just prefer it. For anything other than gaming it's the way to go.
