You can provide them with an e-key. If you have the Kevo+, you have an unlimited number of e-keys, & you can simply revoke a key when it's no longer needed by the other person.Keep in mind, they will have to download the Kevo app in order to use an e-key.

you can, but they have to have the Kevo App I believe. You only get two E-keys when you purchase and without upgrading to the plus program, you have to pay a few bucks for any other E-keys. I think that you can issue temp keys for 24 hours but if you go to their website I know all the information is there.7 years, 8 months ago

You can issue ekeys, which used to have to pay for. Not sure if they changed their pay model. I know if you get Kevo Plus you get unlimited ekeys.by

Kwikst Model: 925 KEVO DB 15 will function with the ekey, fob or physical key.If the recipient has a compatible device to the lock, they must download the Kevo app. Set up a Kevo account using their own email address and password. Then the owner sends the ekey to the email address that the recipient set the account up with.

I had the same question I think it's very misleading and that they make it so difficult to figure out which generation it is. It is the first generation and all the reviews I've read say the second generation is better. It's okay as I said in my review but I would go for the second generation at least if you're playing to buy this.7 years, 3 months ago

This is the 1st generatrion , which came out in 2013 at a list pirce of $219. Model # 925 KEVO DB 15Kevo 2nd generation was released on 8/30/2016 at a list price of $229. Model # 925 KEVO2 DB 15
At present (mid-December 2016) Kevo 2 is available in only a few stores and this isn't one of them.
If you go to the Kwikset website, you can see a comparison of the features. From that and from what I've read elsewhere, the second generation is far superior. I'll be getting the Kevo 2 after the Christmas shopping season and after the old stock is gone, when I'm expecting the price to drop at least a little. To read the about the differences, go to the Kwikset site, select Kevo, and click Order. Then click:
