No, unfortunately you can't. I just tried and when you start the microwave, and try to hit the timer it does nothing. Also the same the other way around. With some microwaves you can, but not this one
I just purchased the 1.1 microwave oven and am surprised to barely see the numbers and words on the control panel. They are very dark. Is there a grey piece of plastic over them that I am supposed to peel off? Thank you.
I don't remember if there was a protective film over the control panel - but it is on the grayish side and difficult to read if it's placed in a dark corner. Regrettably, it's not a lit display.
its is very important most of the time to see what happens to the cooked item to avoid spills inside for instance or to avoid food being projected all over the oven inside.
The light comes on when you open the door and when the microwave is operating. When it's finished cooking, the light goes out but comes back on when you open the door to remove the food.
Yes, the light comes on when you open the door. If you want to leave the door open to air it out, you can push the Cancel button to turn the light off.
Yes opening the door activates the light. If you leave the door open the light will go off after a few minutes, which is good when you want to air the oven out.
As it turns out, that information is not in the owners manual (online) but it should be in the installation manual which unfortunately is not online. Please visit the LG LiveChat Team at www.lg.com/us/support/message-customer-support for assistance, they can upload/send the installation manual to you.
I'm not sure what it's made of but it is painted gray. Its nice because its easy to clean and doesn't look gross like most dirty microwaves but it is hard to see your food as it cooks. It's easy to overcook things until you know the amount of time it takes to cook frequently prepared foods.
I only have an outlet with two prongs, not for the type of plugs with a third round one at the bottom, if you know what I'm talking about. Which kind of plug does this microwave have?
This is a 3 prong plug in. However, you can go to your local hardware store and get an adapter. They usually are not more than $3.00. I think I only paid 97 cents at my local Home Depot.
