No, there are no codes out there to make t work with Direct TV remote. It doesn't even work with LG TV remote. It will only work with the remote that comes with it.
Unfortunately no. DTV remotes do not have codes for sound bars. Your best bet if you want to eliminate remotes is to purchase a Logitech Harmony remote. They never get outdated, and they can be set up by Geek Squad if you need them to.
I don't think so. As far as I know DirecTV remotes do not have codes that support any sound bars at this time. Your best bet if you want to control both devices (as well as up to 3 more at the same time) is a Harmony remote by Logitech. They never get outdated, and can be set up by Geek Squad!
Is it possible to connect my DirecTV remote to the sound bar? I use that one remote to control every thing else I have set up and it would be nice to keep it that way.
It worked for me, but I have an LG Smart TV and bought this sound bar unit specifically for that reason. I wired it to the optical sound jack on my TV and followed simple instructions for syncing the sound between the sound bar and my TV. Since I already had the cable remote set up to control all the functions on my TV, as soon as I synced the sound bar to the TV, my remote worked to control the sound bar as well. I'm not sure if it will work for other brands, however.
If you are using this primarily for watching TV, then yes, you can use your DirecTV remote to control the volume, etc. You'll have to use the included LG remote if you want to adjust the EQ settings, input channel, etc. however.
Yes you can. Though I don't know how. We recently got that Genie and the DirecTV guy made it so that the sound bar volume is controlled by the DirecTV remote.
No, there are no codes to make this work with Direct TV remote. It won't even work with LG TV remotes. It only works with the remote that comes with it.
I hooked it up with the optical and it still won't work. The tv doesn't have any options to switch it to the optical wires ( if there is please help.). It streams Bluetooth but won't play from the tv. I have the bar set to optical 1 and plugged in there. And does it even work with the sharp tvs.
I'm guessing the TV isn't sending any signal to the optical wire. There should be a setting under the menu to set the audio to optical. If the TV is set to optical for the output, and still no sound, the optical wire itself may be the problem. Hopefully this helps!
I may not be able to answer your question exactly but my experience may help you figure out your situation. My TV was old enough that it did not pass audio from the TV to the optical out if the source was HDMI. Thus when watching cable tv witht he cable box feeding the tv, the tv would not pass the audio to the sound bar. we hooked up optical audio out from the cable box directly to the sound bar. The DVD player was connected to the tv with analog audio and video connectors (Red white and Yellow RCA). In this case the tv would pass the audio optical out to the sound bar. BUt this requires two cables. One optical fromt he cable box when we watch cable. A separate one from the TV when we watch dvds. Luckily the sound bar has two optical inputs. Hope this helps.
go into the settings on tv and try switching off the tv speakers. if you don't switch off tv speakers then soundbar wont work and optical cable connects tv and sounbar.
It definitely sounds like you have it hooked up correctly. If it is not functioning properly you should take it back to the store you purchased it from and exchange it for a new one.
Can you control volume with one remote(cable remote) using cable box and LGNB3530A? Trying to eliminate remotes. Just purchased LG42LN5700 TV and want to purchase sound bar. I was thinking about the LGNB3530A does anyone have any other recommendations? Thanks
I have the exact same TV and yes, you can use your (Comcast, etc.) cable remote to control the volume of the sound bar. You just set the TV's sound output to go through the sound bar rather than the TV speakers (done in TV's "Settings" menu), and then when you turn the volume of your TV up/down, the sound bar adjusts simultaneously.
I couldn't figure out how to make this work with just one remote. I have an LG 60lm7200 TV and I have to use two remotes. I'm not pleased with this sound bar.
It should work without any problem. I hooked mine up to a 55" Panasonic 1080p HDTV and an older Phillips Blu-Ray and it works flawlessly and all automatic features work great as well. I haven't as of yet taken the time to combine remotes will do so in the near future.
Although the soundbar is designed to complement most TVs 42" and larger, you will be able to use the speaker with any size television that has either an optical or 3.5mm output for audio.
You may need to re-pair the sub-woofer. Click the Mute button on the remote while holding down the "Stop" button on the device. Then press the pairing button on back of woofer. If this doesn't work, contact LG support. They will help get you connected. If not, they most likely will replace.
Make sure the subwoofer is power up. Bring your subwoofer closer to the sound bar. Unplug the sound bar and subwoofer, then power them both back up. Final, make sure there you have no interfering from another device in the room or on the other side of the wall.
I bought an insignia TV, which I would tell everyone to NOT buy one, but it "rattles" the sound is blurry and really bad quality. If I buy a sound bar will this take care of the "rattle" or will it just throw the low quality sound of my tv to the front? I don't understand how the sound bars work. Again! DO NOT BUY an Insignia TV. Really bad quality and the warranty isn't worth a hoot, in fact it's useless, might as well not have a warranty.
I use this sound bar on my 50 inch Sony Smart TV and when I use a sound bar I have my Sony TV volume all the way down so the sound come straight out the sound bar it sounds much better that way.
I have the same problem with a LG. The sound bar will fix the problem. After you hook up the sound bar go into the sound menu settings on your tv and turn off the tv's speakers.
Absolutely worth it. I am using this sound bar on my Samsung 55" LED purchased around the same time and totally love it. It feels my family room (25 x 20 feet) with an excellent quality.
Remember that thinner your screen panel..... worse sound quality you get from the TV. Newer TVs come with below average quality in-built sound speakers, so sound bar is must for new LED TVs.
The LG soundbar will work just fine, the sound will surprise you. I have mine connected to an LG television and we are very pleased. As for the insignia, I've bought three in the past ten years for my kids while they were away at college. They're still working great with great sound quality. Unfortunately, there are some lemons in everything we but these days. I never bought any extended warranties but I'm sorry you're having so muchproblems with them. You should try talking to the management at Bestbuy.
