Great storage drive. Fast enough for most people by far. This thing is so small and portable and pairs up great if you carry it around with a laptop. While it is not the fastest portable SSD, it is nearly as fast as me moving data around between two very fast SSDs in my laptop. It connects via a USB 3.2 Gen 2 connector, and while there is a faster version of this exact drive from Crucial, this one will be more than fast enough for most people. Only those actively editing video directly from external SSDs need consider the faster X10 and even then, only if you have a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 capable port on the actual computer itself. If you are just backing up or storing video, and photo files, the X9 is perfect. I am using it to back up music and photos in my case, and this is more than fast enough.
I love how small this is too, especially if you are carrying it around with you on the go with a laptop where you also have to lug around other items like a charging brick. It also helps to keep my desktop decluttered from a larger traditional hard drive.
Highly recommend this drive for back up and general file storage!

Very good controller, but too expensive

The best thing this controller has going for it is how well built it feels. It is just a great design. I have fairly large hands, and while the PS5 controller isn’t bad by any means, this just feels better and more comfortable in my hands. However, keep in mind Razer has followed the “xbox” / “nintendo pro” controller style of analog stick layout, where those sticks are not in the middle like they have been on PlayStation consoles for many years now. I game on multiple systems and it is second nature, but it could throw some users off a bit.
Another thing that is great with this controller is how much better the battery life is in comparison to the PS5 DualSense controller that comes with the PS5, or especially the newer PS5 DualSense Edge controllers which have even less gaming time per charge. I seem to be getting over 20 hours per charge if I do not use the RGB controller lighting. If you use the lighting you will cut your battery down to closer to the stock PS5 DualSense of around 8-10 hours.
This controller requires the included USB dongle to work on either the PS5 or the PC side, with a switch.
My biggest gripe of all with this controller is that it just is not worth the asking price. It just isn’t priced well enough considering the DualSense Edge, also a very expensive pro controller, has rumble, haptic feedback on the triggers, back buttons, and the dualsense edge also has user replaceable stick modules. The Razer Wolverine V2 Pro only comes with swappable thumbstick caps for the sticks (the smaller rubber caps on top of the sticks). This is nice, but not as nice as being able to replace the entire stick modules. I would prefer to be able to keep a controller of this value around for as long as I can.
Otherwise, while this is a really nice controller, it falls just short of being a recommendation considering how much more expensive it is than other pro controllers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not bad for money, but do not sound great.

These earbuds are not too bad for the money, but don’t expect much from them. They will only sound ok if you get a decent seal from the different sized tips included with them. Even with a good seal, they only sound ok to my ears for music or video. Again, these are very low priced earbuds so I am not totally surprised here.
I also found them to be quite tight in my ears, but I know that will vary on the user. They come with medium size attached right out of the box, but even the smaller sized tips they also come with were a little tight in my ears.
I was able to get an ok seal with one of the tips for my ears. The sound was just ok for music or anything else. I tried these with my Pixel 6A, and had some issues getting one earbud to connect, but eventually it did. A selling point of these earbuds is its low latency mode, and while I didn’t witness any out of sync audio, I also didn’t notice it with that mode not in use. Same with my Steam Deck game device. No noticeable latency either with it on or off, either for videos, or for actual games.
If there is one big selling point for these earbuds it is that they do have very good battery life and because they are so low priced, if you lose them you won’t be losing a very expensive set. They are rated at 7.5 hours on a full charge, and I am pretty sure I got at least this much out of them before they needed to be put back in the charging case.
Overall, I would say these might be a good option for someone who might lose earbuds or similar small sized items, but look elsewhere if you want sound quality. There is no equalizer, just 3 settings they refer to as normal, clear, and bass.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great set of small, discreet cameras

Nice inexpensive pack of 2 cameras. The wyze v3 cams are advertised as outdoors, but they still need to be plugged into an electrical outlet with an included power adapter. While the camera is rated for outdoor use, the power adapter is not. The cameras themselves are rated for outdoors because of its IP rating for being able to withstand water splashes, rain, etc. Depending on where outdoors you might be putting this, you may be better off with a wireless battery model (those however need to be recharged from time to time). More on this further on in review.
The cameras themselves are very small, and about the size of my fingers. Super discreet and tiny, which is a good thing unless you are visually trying to deter someone. You can adjust the camera off its base up and down and side to side. The base of the camera is where you can wall mount the camera with a screw if you want, however I love that there is a magnet on the base of it too so you can mount it on something metal without needing to drill a hole. It also comes with a metal plate with adhesive backing so you can stick it up somewhere that isn’t metallic too.
Camera has an SD card slot so you can actually continuously record video to it, without having to pay for a subscription. It can also just record motion events that it detects to the SD card. Downside of this is that if a thief sees the camera, they can just take the entire camera with them. Viewing the footage is done through the Wyze app on your phone, playing back directly from the SD card in the camera. Wyze app is pretty well thought out, and offers recording options, viewing options, 2 way conversation functionality, motion sensitivity control and much more. Camera has a built-in alarm, but it is not very loud.
Camera video looks great either in day or night. Night vision works really well. I was surprised how well the picture quality was in the dark. While the camera works without any kind of paid subscription with an SD card, you can sign up for a wyze Cam Plus subscription trial for added features and cloud storage for a very inexpensive price compared to competing camera brands.
My only gripe is that I wish that they were wireless. Had they been wireless they would have been perfect for outdoor use in virtually any scenario within reach of my router. As it is in my living situation, I don’t have an outdoor outlet close enough to where I want the camera that would keep the power brick safe from possible rain/snow, or even a potential thief just yanking out the cable.
Overall, for the money these are a great set of very small and discreet cameras for most consumers. Just think about where those cameras will be installed as they are wired power cameras.

Simply the best sounding headphones!

I have both the Sennheiser Momentum 3 (released around 3 years ago), and the newer Sony Sony WH-1000XM5, and these new Sennheiser Momentum 4 are simply the best sounding headphones I have ever had overall.
The Momentum 3s, sounded incredible, and I feel they sound better even than the Sony WH-1000XM5s, but with the new Momentum 4s, we have a completely new design. Now, the Momentum 4s look kind of like any other headphones, and no longer fold up, but they weigh much less, have much less clamping force on your head. As much as I love my Momentum 3s, they do apply quite a bit of clamping force depending on your head. I do feel like the Momentum 4s are a bit of a step backwards here. The swivel hinges feel like plastic, and because of it, it just does not seem as premium and built to last like the Momentum 3s did. The 4s are definitely more comfortable, and I would say do sound a bit better overall than the 3s did. The bass on the 3s was very bass heavy, and here on the 4s it still leans that way, but to my ears sounds much cleaner. The Momentum 4s compared to this year’s Sony WH-1000XM5 sound MUCH better, and that is saying something because the 1000XM5s sounded great in their own right, however they lack really deep bass. The Momentum 4 knocks sound quality out of the park, whether you like bass driven music or not. I love using the Momentum 4 not just for music, but also for watching movies and shows from my TV via bluetooth. They just sound fantastic. Hard to believe that Sennheiser could top the Momentum 3s with the new Momentum 4s, but they have.
Now, the battery life here is ridiculous!! I don’t know how Sennheiser has made such long battery life on these headphones, but so far I have over 45 hours on my initial first charge up to 100 percent. I still show about 20 percent battery life!! And that is with the ANC turned on too!
When you first get these headphones, you will need to install the Smart Control app from either the Google Play Store or the Apple store. Be sure to update the firmware before using. It does take about 15-20 minutes, but has fixed some launch issues users had on release. Sennheiser continues to update the firmware on their products for a long time in my history with the previous generation Momentum 3s. Now here is where things are a little iffy. The app is very, very buggy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t connect to your headphones, even if they are actually paired. I had this experience on 2 different Android phones. Initial pairing works, but then launching the app to control features often just does not let you connect, even though they I can be listening to sound directly on the device. I would say this happens about 20 percent of the time or so, and after a couple of tries I usually can get them to connect. Once they are connected you can control things like manage what devices have previously been paired. You get a named list, and you can only have 2 devices connected at once, and if you want to connect to another device, you need to “release” one of the two in that list, and make a new bluetooth pairing, or choose a previously paired device in the list.
I generally am not a fan of touch controls, but they are actually pretty good on the Momentum 4s. Fairly intuitive, slide up for volume up, slide down for volume down. Press down and it will pause all audio. Double press down, and change between ANC modes.
Charging is very easy, but you will need to provide your own charger. Headphones come with USB-A to USB-C charging cable, a wired headphone cable if you want to connect to a 3.5mm audio source, and even an airline adapter. These headphones come with a case that thankfully, is a nice solid hard case that I have no issues just throwing into a crowded backpack. Case also has some nice little compartments for holding the cables and adapters in place too.
Noise cancellation on the Momentum 4s is very good, however the Sony WH-1000XM5 are much better at canceling noise. For me, I prefer the Momentum 4s regardless, as sound quality is more important than the noise canceling quality. Not to mention the Momentum 4 have more than double the battery life than the Sony WH-1000XM5, and are lower priced.
Phone calls are pretty good. No complaints at all on this front. All the people I spoke to while walking around on the street, found that I sounded pretty good, and even under windy streets during my walk.
Overall, if you value sound quality, like a little extra bass in your music, and don’t need the top of the line noise canceling the Sony WH-1000XM5 provide, you cannot go wrong with the Sennheiser Momentum 4s. Outstanding, even with the app quirks on Android.

mostly great but why get rid of the physical dial?

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro - mostly great, but why get rid of the physical rotating bezel / dial?
This is a big watch. Just keep that in mind, especially if you are a woman. The watch also feels a bit heavier than most other watches on your wrist. I happen to love the watch size, having always liked G-Shock sized watches before getting smart watches of any kind. This watch is THICK, I guess for that bigger battery, and new health sensor designs, but the thickness actually feels fine for me, and only noticeable when off your wrist. It comes with a really great new magnetic buckle strap. It takes a few tries to get to fit perfectly, but once it does it provides the best fit I have ever had on any smart watch ever. I didn’t have to mess with it once I got it set right. This kept the stellar fitness tracking functions working much better than my previous smart watch.
There are a few more fitness related features on this 5 Pro model, including something called track back, which helps if you are out walking and want to go back to exactly the same starting point you came from. The fantastic large screen is great for looking at the map, haptic feedback which feels great, and turn by turn directions to get you back to your starting location. This is a great function while out walking in the woods, where there might be no real walking path for example.
Notifications are a dream on this watch. Very fast, and love the feedback vibration, and haptic feedback just feels great. Glad they put in a big battery as this would really drain a smaller battery down much faster I would imagine. I was able to make a few phone calls directly through the watch microphone and speaker, and it works very well, especially if you have your hands full and want to take a call without holding your phone.
My only real con on this Watch 5 pro. I have had a Galaxy Watch 4 classic, which is a great watch all around, but always had bad battery life. But, that watch had a physical bezel on it. That physical bezel just FEELS good. It is responsive, it works great. This new Watch 5 pro, is virtually the same spec wise as the Watch 4 classic, with the Watch 5 Pro having a much larger capacity battery and better for those tracking fitness activities and a much more rugged design. But, this new Watch 5 Pro has gotten rid of the physical bezel, and gone back to an inferior touch screen bezel. This isn’t that bad, however the physical bezel was the best, and it baffles me why they got rid of it. If you use this watch for fitness, and your hands are sweaty it becomes much less accurate to use. This is a big downgrade if you are coming from any of the previous Galaxy watches that had a rotating bezel on an otherwise stellar watch, especially when this watch is significantly more expensive, unless you really need all the other fitness and health upgrades and large capacity battery.
For me, this watch strikes a good balance between a great smartwatch and a great fitness tracker. This is my favorite smartwatch so far, but please bring back the rotating physical bezel in future versions samsung.

Great phone for the asking price.

Great phone for the asking price.
Compared to the Pixel 6, this is a great phone. You get the same tensor processor chip as the more expensive 6 phone, 128gb of storage, and 6gb RAM which is enough for most people. You also get a front screen fingerprint sensor. Unfortunately this front screen fingerprint is a bit slow, and sometimes unresponsive. They never should have moved the back face fingerprint sensor that worked perfectly. I have had a Pixel 3A and a Pixel 5 before this phone, and not only was the back facing sensor fast, it worked nearly 99% of the time. This phone has a 4,410mah battery size, and so far battery life is pretty good, probably because the screen resolution is 2400x1080 @60hz refresh rate. While most people would be happy with the resolution, unfortunately for me it “feels” a little slow because of the 60hz refresh rate. While this was likely done to decrease manufacturing costs, there are other phones that have higher refresh rates for even less than the cost of this phone. Now, I suspect users that have never used a phone would never notice this, but it is something worth mentioning. All of these issues do not detract from the simple fact that this is still a great phone overall for the asking price. You get pure android, no bloatware, a very snappy user interface and processor, and a great camera!
Speaking of the camera, the “Magic Eraser” works great. This gets rid of unwanted objects, or possible photo bombers from photos taken with the camera. A big reason to get a Pixel phone is that you will get a few years of android version updates, and you will always get security updates from the second they come out. Other manufacturers can be very slow to test and then release their security updates, and especially their major OS updates.
Keep in mind this phone, like many other phones, no longer comes with a battery charger. Just a cable is included. You need an 18 watt charger that has “PD / Power Delivery”. I happened to have one from an older pixel that worked just fine, however if you have an older phone charger it may not charge well, or at all. The phone does fast charge when using a charger that works. Also be sure to use the included USB-C cable, as if you have an older USB-C cable it will either not charge at all, or charge slowly.
The back of the phone is made of plastic, which for me I prefer as it is not as slippery as the Pixel 6 glass back. I always put my phones in a case anyway, and it really doesn’t matter that much anyway, but if I ever want to not have the case on, I am a lot more comfortable with the 6A back than the 6.
Great phone for the money, and most people would be just fine getting this over the more expensive 6A.

Great headphones! Just wish they folded down again

Great headphones!! Just wish they folded down like last year’s model, in a more compact way for travel.
Great packaging, no plastic, environmentally friendly. Comes with a great case, however this year’s upgrade on these over the ear headphones doesn’t fold down, and just turn the earcups down, so the case is just physically larger. It isn’t a huge deal, but it does take a little more space if you travel. The good news is the case is really good, and has a great little separate compartment for your cables, charger, etc.
The design of this year’s XM5, seems to use some kind of synthetic leather, and feels fantastic to the touch, and seems a bit lighter than last year's XM4s. The XM5s look very modern, and radically different to last year's model, and I think they look great. The XM5s use a smaller 30mm driver, and while they do still sound good, the XM4s have stronger bass. I personally feel the XM4s sound a little bit better, however I like heavy bass in music. The XM5s still sound great, but it might not be quite as good in the bass department for some users due to the smaller 30mm driver, vs the XM4s 40mm drivers. The app on android / iOS has tons of great functionality, and a great little equalizer presets, and the ability to customize your own equalizer settings and save it to a custom preset saved to the app and headphone itself.
A note on charging. The battery life on these is great!! I seem to be getting around 25 hours on a full charge or so in my use case so far with ANC turned on most of the time. And, while I feel that is great, what is even more awesome is that if I am in a rush to get somewhere, and only have a few minutes to charge, I can get about 3 hours of battery time in less than 5 minutes!!! That is great, as I sometimes forget to charge before needing to jump on a train or bus.
Noise cancellation is great, as expected. It isn’t quite a huge jump in noise reduction vs the XM4s, however it is definitely better. I absolutely love the ear cups in the XM5s. The XM4s ear cups were a bit too shallow for my ears, and would eventually rub against my ears a little. There is more room in these now, and don’t touch my ears anymore. I love the speak to chat function via the app, where the XM5s can sense you talking while listening to music, and will temporarily pause, push in sound from the outside via the microphones, and you can hear who you are talking to while not removing the headphones. It works really well, and is great around my home where if I see someone in my home trying to speak to me while I have the ANC turned on, I just “speak to chat”, and can hear them. Stop talking after a short while, and it will resume playing your music or media sound from your connected device. Another great thing is that these headphones can be connected to 2 devices simultaneously. I use these with my Pixel 6, and also my Window 11 laptop, and move from taking voice calls via google voice app, and music back and forth. Works great!! I cannot ever imagine not having this in headphones.
Call quality is very good, and it does seem to be a bit better than the XM4s. I think this is because the XM5s have more microphones on this year’s model.
Love these headphones! Just wish they figured out a way to collapse the headphones like last years model. It isn’t a deal breaker for me, but these are just a little more difficult to fit in a tight bag. But, the sound quality is still phenomenal, ANC is the best available, and the speak to chat option is amazing (it can be disabled by the way.) Highly recommended!!!

great drive for PS5, but requires PC for FW update

Great drive for PS5 use, but only after you update to the newest firmware. Unfortunately for those looking to expand their PS5 internal storage, for current gen PS5 games, you will not get full speed out of this drive unless you update the drives firmware to the one released late November 2021. At current time, this can only be done if a user has a Windows computer with a m.2 nvme slot. For those that are not PC savvy users, there are better options right of out of the box that do not need firmware updates, and also that have heatsinks built in, though a quick google search will also show you that you can buy SSD heatsinks that fit the PS5 for very little money. Putting your own heatsink on an SSD for use in a PS5 is very easy to do and takes just a couple of minutes.
Without updating this SSDs firmware, I was getting around 5,500MB/s per the PS5 speed test after formatting. Updating the firmware back on my desktop PC, via Samsung Drive Magician (make sure you install and update via the latest version, I had issues getting it to work from a previous earlier version), I was getting about 6,500MB/s, and in line with other Gen4 SSD drives that do not require a firmware update via a Windows PC. This is inline with other top performing Gen 4 SSDs from other manufacturers. PS5 games load up great on the drive, even before updating the firmware, and just as fast as off the built in storage on the PS5.

BASS! How low can you go!!

I guess the real thing you need to ask yourself is do you need more bass out of your Sony HT A5000 soundbar. There is a pretty decent amount of bass in the A5000, especially if you are putting these into a smaller room. If you are, you may want to wait and see if you are ok with just the soundbar. In my opinion, you might be ok without additional bass in smaller rooms, but you really should buy the optional rear surrounds, regardless of room size.
Now, if you are an absolute action/fx movie and show fan, you will not be disappointed. This is A LOT OF bass!! I tried a few Dolby Atmos movies / shows, and Venom Carnage was the first movie I tried. Wow.. that is all I can say. The lows were really boomy on bass hits, explosions, etc. I actually had to turn the levels on this subwoofer down a bit, and I am a bass head. I played a few PlayStation 5 games too, mostly Resident Evil Village, and it really made the sub go off a lot. Keep in mind this subwoofer is pretty big, as subwoofers all are, but subwoofers do not have to be placed next the tv. They can be tucked away somewhere else in the room. They are what are known as omnidirectional speakers. We have ours moved to the side by our sofa.
Must for action movie and show fans that love that bass!

Yes.. you can. You can start calls from it, and speak into the microphone. Also you will get texts and emails to it.

Can you store music on the watch
yes.. you can. Though it will not hold much. It does also come with Spotify app, though you will need either your phone or a wifi connection to use that.
