A lot of Kreator fans may talk about Pleasure To Kill or Coma Of Souls or whatever classic album, but read a lot about how Endless Pain is influential in Black Metal, and it's clearly evident. Check this out as well as the rest of their classic albums.

Fans of Pleasure To Kill and Endless Pain need look no further than Terrible Certainty, the third album from Kreator. While Pleasure To Kill had the sense of urgency from the band recording the album live in the studio, Terrible Certainty still has a lot of energy. Get it now.

Kreator achieved a lot with Pleasure To Kill, fine-tuning their sound for Extreme Aggression while expanding the production scope. If you enjoyed Pleasure To Kill and Endless Pain, get this and Coma Of Souls now.

All Andy wanted for his birthday was the hottest toy on the market, a Good Guy doll. Odd that the evening of the day he got it, his aunt Maggie is killed mysteriously, then Andy points the blame to Chucky, his Good Guy doll. Only a sane person would want to believe that Andy has a wild imagination, right? Who would believe that a toy was possessed by the soul of a serial killer?
Child's Play set a new precedent in the horror movie genre in the late 80's, and has many imitators, but there is only one killer doll: Chucky. Shout Factory's sci-fi/horror movie subsidiary Scream Factory has a penchant for putting out reissues of films for fans that want a nice supplemental package included with their Blu-Ray/DVD, and I get the feeling that they do this rather well because they're fans of these films themselves. Needless to say, this is highly recommended.

Two years ago, Soundgarden's Superunknown was remastered for it's 20th anniversary. Kind of odd that two years later, their previous album Badmotorfinger would get a remaster, but I shouldn't complain. Like Superunknown, this is a perfect album that's been given special treatment. If you don't own the album by now or even if you do, buy the remaster now.

Kreator, for the first time since Pleasure To Kill, recorded Hordes Of Chaos recorded in a live setting on an analog tape recorder with few overdubs. Colin Richardson (Fear Factory, Napalm Death, Machine Head) handled the mix. This album is pretty raw especially with Colin's stellar mix in comparison to the crystal clarity of Andy Sneap's production and mixing on Violent Revolution and Enemy Of God. This is old school Kreator, highly recommended.

Keep in mind I enjoyed Violent Revolution immediately upon first listen, but my first Kreator CD was Enemy Of God, which I didn't like at first. It took some time. Weird, I know. Like Violent Revolution, everything about Enemy Of God was perfect, and today I do find it enjoyable.

After a deep period of experimentation with their sound in the 90's (alternative, goth, tribal, etc.), Kreator had to prove that they could still deliver their old-school thrash sound. Enter producer Andy Sneap (Testament, Machine Head, Napalm Death). Anytime his name is attached to something, you know it's going to be special. Violent Revolution is Kreator at their best: old-school thrash with even a bit of a Gothenburg vibe.

Feeling the sting from being let go by their previous label and also experimenting with a heavier sound, Testament released this beast entitled Demonic. I must say, I was surprised when I first heard this. Without seeing the name, I almost would have never guessed that it was Testament. There's hallmarks of their sound peppered in here and there, but it's more death metal mixed with thrash. They would later carry this sound forward on the more thrash sounding The Gathering. Regardless, I recommend it even if you're curious.
