Carnifex has a bone to pick with their now former label Victory. It's quite evident in the sound on their recent material, especially on Until I Feel Nothing, their final album for the label. If you don't enjoy deathcore, you likely won't like these guys. For fans of Whitechapel, Impending Doom, Suicide Silence, Suffocation, and Chelsea Grin.

This is a good example of how Converge has grown over the years, and if you don't know...it's beastly. Another example is their You Fail Me album which recently got reissued which remixed & remastered audio and a bonus track. I highly recommended both albums, but I suggest getting as much of their discography as you can.

Black Breath take an already perfect formula from their debut, and turn it into a more streamlined and focused barrage that's short, but sweet. Highly recommended.

Sort of a continuation from the last two as they've once again worked with Joe Barasi (Tool, Monster Magnet, Soundgarden, Volbeat, Slipknot), Chevelle goes in an even heavier direction here. While this was expected, it's so far yielded a mixed reaction from listeners. Whether this is a trip for you, you decide.

The one Chevelle album that started it all for me. Many people look at this album as the singles being the only reason to listen while the rest of the album is all throwaway tracks. It's so much more than that, and if you actually listen to each track, you'll see.

Before anyone jumps the gun, yes, Whitechapel's new album has two songs that feature clean vocals. While this is a first for the band, it's not unheard of. A similar band, Impending Doom did a song on their fourth album Baptized In Filth with clean vocals, and that was with Ryan Clark from Demon Hunter. That being said, don't expect full-on ballads here. It's still very much in the spirit of Whitechapel, as is the rest of the album with it's 1, 2 punch sound they're known for. After all, the theme of the album is the fan base and how loyal they are. Highly recommended.
