With this little gadget users can wirelessly send content up to 1080p resolution from a laptop, smartphone or tablet to a nearby TV or projector with this HDMI extender.
What’s the big deal? NO WIRES is the big deal. Whether at home, at the office or on the go during travel, isn’t that a nice capability to have? Of course, it is!
Following the provided directions, setup is simple, too.
**WHAT’S IN THE BOX**
• USB-C Transmitter
• Receiver cable with HDMI connector and USB-A for power from TV or external brick (not included)

**THE SETUP**
As always, don’t be a know-it-all and read, then follow the instructions. This assures success. Even experienced geeks like yours truly need to read and follow instructions no matter how sure we are that we don’t need no stinking instructions. Just saying . . .
Moving forward, ahem, Transmitter connected to laptop, check. Receiver WITH power brick connected by HDMI to TV, check. The directions state flat out to not place the USB-A connector behind the TV or inside a cabinet because this could (WILL) weaken the signal. I guess they know their equipment best. So, the wire from the USB-A to the TV’s HDMI acts as an antenna! DON’T fail to heed this admonition, check.
Pair the receiver with the transmitter using its own mini-network. Using a paper clip or similar device (a pin), press and hold the tiny button in the tiny hole on the HDMI end of the receiver for two seconds to put it in pairing mode. Then press the button on the receiver for two seconds to complete the pairing mode setup. Check!
The transmitter went into a USB-C port on my MacBook Pro. The receiver went into an HDMI port on a TV, with the USB-A extender wire attached and connected to external power.
And now it’s time to . . .
**PUT IT TO THE TEST**
• Well, that was simple!
• On my Mac, I set it to mirror the screen of my external 27-inch 4K monitor. Yes, users must tell display preferences on Mac or Display instructions on PCs where the Transmitter signal is to go.
• Launched the AppleTV+ app on the Mac and chose what to watch, then set it to full screen.
• On the TV, the image was already there, mirroring the computer screen, so it was full screen on the TV in 1080p. Reminder to readers that this device is NOT 4K. This is a convenience device, not a super high tech device.
• And there you have it – SUCCESS!!
• This success was duplicated using my Windows 11 PC. Piece of cake. Truly plug and play.

One thing I’ve learned on my journey to better home-brewed coffee beverages is that the machines that do a good to great job are not inexpensive. With the cost of these beverages when created in storefront shops easily topping the $5 mark, home machines make more sense than ever.
As I have learned through trying several of them, for coffee/espresso/cappuccino lovers, the quality of the end product from better machines can be outstanding. On the other hand, if outstanding home-brewed coffee beverages is not as appealing as is the convenience factor alone, then all of this will be lost on the reader. That is to say, pod-based machines might be good enough. There is nothing wrong with that!
This GE Profile machine is in the middle of the pack. There is a model that is fully automatic, while this one is semi-automatic. The difference is that the user is in charge of frothing in this machine while the automatic model delivers a finished beverage to the user with one touch. I like the flexibility of this machine, which is why I chose it.
So, what’s with this machine? Let’s take a look!

**THE SETUP**
Unbox, READ THE MANUAL, WATCH THE ONLINE VIDEOS, assemble, test the water using the supplied strip, adjust the grind as specified, set up the App with Wi-Fi. Practice. Practice. Practice. Practice some more. Since this machine offers a variety of options, try them all. Clean the frother as specified. Find the grind setting(s) that work best with EACH set of beans and for each beverage.
Become accustomed to the 15 grind levels and make note of favorite settings. A conical burr grinder grinds the beans. Very nice!
Grinding and tamping takes some practice to get it just right. Just enough and not to tightly packed.

For those upping their game with this, perhaps, their first machine with all these capabilities, please be patient and do not judge the procedure or result harshly without a few weeks’ practice and experience. The guts of the machine are an Italian-made 15 bar pump that slowly increases its pressure to draw out the flavors from the grounds. Ideally, you, the at-home barista, will become expert at this process, learning from the manual and videos the importance of the grinding and tamping process to avoid overfilling and over tamping. Such an art!
Download and install the SmartHQ App. This is where users can view and change many of the settings.
Grinding for a single or double dose is automatic. Place the selected 58mm portafilter with 19-21 grams capacity in position. Choose the dosage, which can be adjusted through the Wi-Fi app, and smile your best barista smile.
The bean hopper holds .6 pounds of beans, which is enough for several finished beverages. It is sealed and UV resistant to preserve bean freshness.
There is a generous 95-ounce water reservoir along with a cup warmer at the top of the machine. I suggest warming the cup before brewing to jump start the process and make that cuppa joe start out hot. Some of the water is used for automatic cleaning and will also be used for frothing OR for delivery of hot water alone that can be used for brewing tea.
The steam frother can create microfoam textures and thicknesses for all the cool drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, and so many others.
Now that I’ve practiced and have developed a bit of confidence, it’s time to . . .
**PUT IT TO THE TEST**
• Not every cup will be perfect, owing to the need for more practice to avoid screwing up! It’s going to happen, so accept it, get over it and move on. AND don’t blame the machine. The machine is fine. Really it is.
• A fan of cappuccino, this is my go-to beverage. I ground the beans for a double, as I like it strong. I touched the display with my choice. My cup was pre-warmed from its time on the warming tray.
• The grounds were delivered to the selected double-layer, double-shot portafilter. I removed it, trimmed the grinds and removed the overage, tamped, then moved the portafilter into position for brewing my Lungo. Look it up!
• The brew delivered, it was time to froth, so I placed the cup back on the warming tray.
• We like to froth oat milk, but use whatever you may wish. Out swings the arm and into the included stainless steel cup. The frothing control knob is turned to steam and that process begins to the desired frothiness per volume.
• Down came the cup. In goes the froth and it’s time to test. I am getting good at this!
• Once again, practice does make perfect, or, at least more than acceptable for now. Perfect will come in due time.

**CONCLUSION**
Given the cost, this is a highly competitive machine with nothing about which to complain. With others similarly priced, I am not aware of significant benefits of others that are not present here, with the possible exception of faster heating to the ready state. To me, this capability is not worth the added cost of others with this feature. The high quality Italian mechanism still delivers the goods, fine cups of our favorite coffee beverages.
One exception to the above is the option for automatic instead of semi-automatic capabilities. There is an argument for one-button automatic operation that removes the need for the tamping, etc. However, semi-automatic operation at this price point provides greater fine-tuning of the final product.

No messing, er, mousing around, the Logitech M650 L is the right fit for everyday use for most hands. Why do I mention its size? Logitech pitches this model, the “L” is for Large, for large hands, but I must respectfully disagree. My hands are not gargantuan. In the hands of two male friends and two female friends, none commented that this mouse is too large.
On the contrary, everyone commented on its just-right size. Compared with others in my Logitech mouse collection, some are tagged as portable, in that they are smaller and said to be ideal for travel. Travel mice lack some of the features and technology of larger mice in addition to the size differential associated with their lower cost.
This M650 L features typical Logitech all-day comfort with its contoured shape and soft area where the thumb rests on the left side along with rubber side grips on the opposite side.
As ports are at a premium on many newer PCs and laptops, it features dual connectivity options via Bluetooth Low Energy wireless technology as well as conventional plug-in dongle. In fact, the supplied Logi Bolt USB dongle is Logitech’s unified one so it can serve a dual role with both this mouse and a compatible Logitech keyboard. In other words, there would be no need for two dongles if the user has such a compatible keyboard.
Another word about the “L” for large. Logitech offers this wireless mouse for righties as well as southpaws AND a smaller model for more dainty sized hands. With one for just about every user, Logitech has another winner.
The side buttons are customizable for a variety of the user’s favorite shortcuts, including Copy/Paste and app launch, all through downloadable Windows and Mac software called Logitech Options Plus. Device basic functions are supported without software on Chrome OS and most popular Lunux distros.
The Logitech SmartWheel scroll wheel is also newly designed. Unlike other models that feature a click to release the line-by-line motion in favor of freewheeling spin, the M650 works as follows. Scroll slowly, silently, line-by-line or flick to spin for super-fast scrolling up or down.
With up to two years use on one AA alkaline battery (supplied) it is easy to see how well Logitech engineers designed this mouse to squeeze every ounce of performance out of the least amount of energy.

Open the blister pack along perforated lines and remove the cardboard backing and the mouse. Remove the paper tab from the battery well. Read the simplified instructions, directing the user to remove the battery cover. Here, users have the choice to remove the dongle and insert it into a USB-A spot on the desktop or laptop, Windows, Mac or Linux computer OR connect using low-voltage Bluetooth. Using Bluetooth, this mouse is also compatible with iPad OS 13.4 and later and Android 5.0 and later.
Download the and install Logitech Options Plus software using the provided link. Connect the mouse.

**PUT IT TO THE TEST**
The Logitech M650 L is, at once, as easy to use as any other mouse, even easier, and can be customized with side button special features.
Operation is as smooth and quiet as promised. It fits quite comfortably in the hand with no sign of fatigue the entire first day of use. On subsequent days the M650 L has been just as comfortable. The buttons are pre-programmed to jump forward and back in a browser. No modifiers were employed.
The scroll wheel’s operation and the R and L clicker are virtually silent. Though the mouse is largely plastic, there is no feeling that this mouse is cheaply made.
**CONCLUSION**
Using the Logitech M650 L has been without any finding of, “I wish . . .” Logitech has delivered as expected, a modestly priced, full featured and high quality new mouse that is sure to please users for many years.
Logitech’s excellent reputation in this category is well deserved.
Highly recommended!

Anker - PowerCore III 20K mAh USB-C Portable Battery Charger
This is all about choices and value. Anker has garnered a well-deserved reputation for performance and value in virtually every product category in which it competes. Here, in the portable battery charger category, they shine for a few good reasons.
As an Anker customer for many years, including in this category, I have observed their progress. One of the reasons I purchase and recommend their battery chargers as well as their wall chargers is reliability and longevity. I can count on Anker.
There may be other brands that claim to best the features and specs of Anker’s portable battery chargers, but in my searches and experience, there is always a little “Gotcha.” Either there is no cable provided, or there is less than the 20W output that Anker provides here. Or they are new to the business, or, or, or.
Strong and steady, with genuine, useful and beneficial improvements and incremental benefits over prior battery packs. New to me in this iteration is a long press of the power button that activates trickle charge mode for charging of low-requirement devices, including headsets.
Anker’s basic industrial design features a mildly textured, cross-hatch look on the top surface of many of their battery packs, including this one.
The slim design is common among Anker as well as other brands as in the Lithium Polymer battery inside the rugged case.

**THE SETUP**
Once opened, charge using the provided cable, connected from the USB-C port on the battery pack to a USB-A charging port on the power source for charging. Nominal charge time is 7.5 hours on a fully depleted PowerCore III. Slow charging may be beneficial when connecting ear buds and other similar low demand devices.
The power button is a newly designed item. On one of my other Anker portable battery chargers, there is an LED circle of tiny lights that goes all around the button. On this one, there are just four tiny LEDs to uncomplicate the at-a-glance battery capacity.
After charging, it’s time to . . .

It gets no simpler than this. Find something in need of a little juice and charge it. Or charge two devices using the charging cables from the device(s).
iPhone, Android phone, various headsets, earphones and earbuds, tablets charged without issue. Of course, this battery has 20,000 mAh of power inside.
In simplest terms, it will charge less than a 30,000 mAh battery and twice as much as a 10,000 mAh battery.
With two USB-A ports, this one is capable of charging two whatevers at a time.
Fast charging of phones and certain tablets requires a device that is fast-charge capable AND a cable designed for the device to be charged. The cable provided with the battery is USB-A on one end and USB-C on the other. Fast charging requires use of the USB-C port on the battery and USB-C on the other end.
With the proper cable, quick-charge capable devices charged quickly as designed.
There is NO way to tell readers how fast this will charge their devices. There are too many variables. Just know that it performs as advertised.
**CONCLUSION**
Yes, this is the real deal! It works and it works well, in customary Anker fashion.
Do not hesitate to buy if this meets your needs. If your needs exceed this 20,000 mAh battery, choose a higher powered Anker model from Best Buy.

This was love at first listen. Anker Soundcore Liberty Pro 3 earbuds brought their A game to the category. Consumers are encouraged to take notice, and I think YOU are because you are reading this review. Good for you!
From easy pairing to up to seven device and the ability to use them with my phone and Mac simultaneously, to the excellent frequency response, these sound delicious and won’t break the bank.

Excellent ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and six microphones contribute to very good call quality with minimized background noise while concentrating on YOUR voice. Background noise is analyzed and tailored to the environment.
LDAC, which is a Sony innovation that is THE audiophile-grade Bluetooth codec is in this and many of the best buds out there.
They fit! With four, not three sizes of liquid silicone eartips and flexible ear wings, wearers are assured of a perfect fit that also provides built-in pressure relief for all day comfort. This combination is unusual in my experience. Find the combo that suits you and you will find the fit to be comfortable and effective at aiding in blocking ambient sound. This is where ANC settings become essential, allowing in or blocking outside sound for safety and other requirements.

**THE SETUP**
Follow the packed-in set-up directions. Download the Anker Soundcore app. Done. Using up-to-date iPhone 12, launched the Soundcore app and paired. Prompted to update Firmware. Done.
Next, set up HearID, turned on ANC, launched Apple Music and looked for music in Dolby Atmos, Lossless and Apple Digital Master, the best Apple has to offer. Ah, the holiday season! What could be better than acapella group Pentatonix and their Evergreen Christmas 2021 album. These magnificent voices make all the music. It was love at first listen. I like these Liberty Pro 3 buds a lot!
Next, time for a movie to see how the 3D Surround Sound does. For this, I simultaneously paired with my Mac (PC users will have the same opportunities). Launching the new Amazon Prime Video app for Mac, I chose the Amazon Original movie, The Electrical Life of Louis Wain, starring Benedict Cumberbatch. The film is in UHD (4K) on compatible devices. Fortunately, I’m watching on a 27” 4K monitor, so I was ready for a beautiful experience, and that is what I received.

Continuing through the testing sequences, it was time for a call. I called one of many friends who is accustomed to my calls from yet another headset or set of earbuds. He knows to tell me without asking if the audio is not so as to not know I am on a headset. Not a discouraging word was heard. He said the sound was just fine AFTER I asked. This is good! He likes nothing more than to bust my chops over headsets with inferior phoning performance, and there have been quite a few.
I switched to a pair of buds costing even more than these. He thought these sounded just about as good as some that are at the $200 mark. That’s all the praise I needed.
Wearing these all day, inside and outside proved a satisfying and comfortable experience.
I clocked about seven and one half hours from the first full charge while using them for a mix of phone calls, movie watching and listening to music.
Bass response, always a topic of interest, is balanced and can be tailored to the user’s interest. I favor a balanced approach, but others are free to set them for heavier bass, and any frequencies desired.
**CONCLUSION**
These are excellent earbuds, worthy of your purchase. That said, ALL user perceptions of audio devices, and video devices for that matter, are highly subjective. The advantage for readers of me reviews is that I am a hands-on, 40+ year experienced reviewer who ALWAYS keeps the average consumer in mind.
The ONLY caveat is the fit. It’s not a simple slam dunk. Take the time to try the tips to find what is best for you and, yes, it is going to take some time. As well, learn how to properly position the buds in your ears. This is not a simple matter of sticking them in. There is a procedure and proper placement, with a twist. This is highlighted in the Soundcore app after connecting the buds within the app and not trying them after pairing. It will ONLY work by following proper placement procedures and then, such a pleasure.

The sound quality you expect from great earbuds with convenient features that go above and beyond. Two microphones in each earbud mean you’ll always be heard on calls. Digging deeper, I learned that the “Wireless charging case” means Qi charging, another plus.
So far, so good. Now, let’s see how they measure up. Remember, these are in the middle range in the cost category, so they cannot fairly be compared to buds in the higher price range, a mistake often made by some.
MY bottom line is this. How do they do in consideration of their price range?
And now, let’s get on with it.
• They pass the fit test and are comfortable.
• They pair easily as expected with my phone and computer. No, they will not connect with two devices simultaneously.
• Sound is sweet while listening to music, and I can make all the adjustments needed through the music app in my phone.
• Nice feature to be able to talk and listen with just one bud.
• Listening to movie audio is good, too, and there were no latency issues making it seem as if the sync is off.
• Phone calling is not its strong suit. While the sound is clear, callers noticed a bit of hollowness, though not so much as to make this determination a deal breaker. Background sound is not significantly blocked.
• Qi charging works perfectly, as does USB-C charging.
• Battery life per charge is said to be about 7 hours. I listened to Apple Music and got a little less than 7 hours while listening at their best quality.

While they may not be remarkable, they are more than adequate and hold up well in their category. One cannot expect, “WOW!” at this level. On the other hand, purchasers can expect to be pleased without anything to complain about.

There has been a quantum leap in technology since my first foray with Adobe Photoshop 4 LE that came with a photo scanner in 1996, and then the standalone Photoshop Elements 1 for Mac in early 1999.
Fast forward to today in late 2022 and I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements Mac 2022. Can I get a big WOW?
Why this and not the full Adobe Photoshop? Elements is for amateurs (like ME). Photoshop is for serious pros (unlike ME) and costs a bundle, while this does not.
By no means is Photoshop Elements (PSE) a minimal program. Sophisticated and robust in its features, I submit that it is much more than mere mortals need or will generally use in day-to-day operations with their photos. And it includes creative options on its start page with suggestions for a variety of projects, including:

Download and install. Create a personal Adobe account if none exists. Enter the serial number provided after the paid download OR take your time and run it in trial mode for up to 30 days, then enter the serial number. From then on, whenever Adobe issues updates, the software will prompt for the user to do the update.

Once the feeling of being overwhelmed has passed, if it passes, dig in and try and try and try the capabilities. Most of all, enjoy and have fun! Be creative. Take advantage of the growing variety of tutorials available. In the Elements Organizer module, for example, there is a link to Video Tutorials. As this app is new, more will surely become available. Another option is to search online for “photoshop elements 2022 online tutorials (mac or windows)”.
Give yourself lots and lots of time over days and weeks to explore the app. Remember the adage, “baby steps.”
Your patience will be amply rewarded!
**PUT IT TO THE TEST**
Launch the app. On the opening page, select one of the three elements - Organizer, Photo Editor or Video Editor. I strongly suggest Organizer. Here is where you will be presented with the option to see thumbnails of photos from available sources, including the Pictures app and Drop Box, as well as from a camera or card reader. Once imported, use the apps built-in Photo Sensei AI (Artificial Intelligence) to recognize and group faces for naming or excluding. From then on, if you are looking for, say, Aunt Margaret, she can easily be found in all the catalogued photos and then those photos may be used in any and all projects. This is powerful stuff, indeed!
This is but one example of an almost endless display of the power of Photoshop Elements 2022. Space prohibits an in-depth review and detail or even mention of just how impressive the app is.
Use the automated options that employ PSE 2022’s intelligence that turns photos into art. Use the Warp and pleasantly, artistically contort photos into any shape.
There are 60 Guided Edits to explore.
Organize all your photos and look for the gems under the pull-down menus in the screenshots I’ve included. Take it to the next level by transforming photos into wall art, keepsakes, personalized gifts and so much more. Under the Create tab, there is even an option for inspirational Quote Graphics as shown in my screenshots. There is seemingly no end!
**CONCLUSION**
Sure, Apple provides an excellent Photos app, but without the chops of this program even for this genuine Mac-head.
For now, and for those who, as I, use the new M1-powered Macs, Photoshop Elements 2022 is not built natively for us. We need to rely on Apple’s conversion software called Rosetta 2. For all Mac users on Intel-based Macs, you’re good to go now. When Adobe provides the native app to Mac users on Apple Silicon Macs, this will be a blazing fast and super capable app, and I can’t wait. It’s no slouch now under Rosetta 2.
For the price, I know of no other creative application with the feature set and fun quotient offered by Photoshop Elements 2020. Master it over time and take advantage of unimaginable creativity. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

From the jump, THIS Ring Alarm Pro system targets users who are part of or will soon join the Ring ecosystem that can include Ring Doorbell, more sensors, indoor and outdoor cameras, additional keypads and more Ring components so as to complete a comprehensive Ring-based home monitoring and security system.
A small home or apartment might not require add-ons beyond this kit. The kit has four sensors for windows or doors and one hallway or room sensor. If your home needs more of any of these for full coverage, add what is needed. Ours needs more hall and window sensors, so we purchased them, and all work seamlessly with THIS kit.
The kit includes ONE keypad, so if you want more than one, such as for a back and front door, and for a garage, for example, more keypads will be required. OR, if the household users wish to use the iOS or Android app, then added keypads may not be needed.
Are you sensing the flexibility offered by this system?
And what of the eero router? If you are happy with your existing router’s technology and coverage, you may wish to opt for a kit without the eero router. However, this router is also the alarm base with eero Wi-Fi 6 in combination, which is a good thing, though not necessarily for large homes. The included Range Extender will help, but not enough for homes over as little as 1,000 feet up to about 2,000 square feet, depending upon home construction and other standard factors effecting how far and how strong Wi-Fi will be in any home. Not trying to be obtuse, but this is THE issue for any Wi-Fi in any home and there is not one solution for all circumstances.
Moving on, both the router and keypad have built-in backup batteries for short-duration power outages. Additional Ring Power packs at added cost can extend online presence during power outages.
If your ISP has provided your modem with a router combination and Wi-Fi, you should be able to disable the router part of the combo unit and use this new eero. If you are paying for Wi-Fi, since the eero has it, you may be able to stop paying your ISP for Wi-Fi, saving as much as $6 or more per month!
As for me, I prefer to own my own modem and router so this eero is a good way to go.
This kit does NOT provide monitoring service. Optional 24/7 professional monitoring with a Ring Pro subscription is sold separately and there is no contract. Why have a security system without professional monitoring? Only the consumer can answer this, but as for this reviewer, I am a fan of Ring’s professional monitoring. We already have it for our comprehensive Ring-based home system to which we added the components in THIS kit.
The Ring app tells each of us when someone is at the door (with Ring Doorbell, sold separately). We also have a Ring Plug-in Chime near the front door, also sold separately, but YOU may be satisfied with notifications on your smart phone through this kit.
Other add-ons to consider include cellular internet options for Alarm Pro and a subscription to Ring Protect.
Home security is a multi-level, layered plan!
**THE SETUP**
Setup involves placing the sensors, each with their own batteries that should last many months and are easily replaced at low cost.
Setup is through the Ring and eero apps.
The Alarm Pro module is ideally placed where it can be connected using Ethernet to your modem.
Through the apps, setup is straightforward (after users have established accounts). As we already have Ring, we only needed to add the eero account and set up eero as our gateway instead of the existing router.
And of course, the system is Alexa-compatible.
A QR-code on each device is used for the setup, one at a time, please.
The system uses Z-Wave for its internal network, so look up this technology. This is how the Range Extender extends the signal. And so it goes, one sensor at a time until getting to the Keypad, which is used for arming and disarming as well as emergency keys if you have chosen to subscribe to Professional Monitoring.
**PUT IT TO THE TEST**
Let’s make this simple. IF the setup and tests have been successfully completed, it just works!
We have no issues, and this includes integrating with our older Gen 1 hardware.
**CONCLUSION**
Lots of “ifs” here. As stated at the outset, IF you are now or soon will become part of the Ring ecosystem and IF you will benefit from the eero router, this is a fine system and should provide safety and security if used properly. More security will be gained from the add-ons as stated.

For several months I have been evaluating and learning to love dedicated air fryers. My initial exposure left me cold. Our first air fryer had a single small cavity which, obviously, limited its value as compared with multi-function countertop ovens that also feature an Air Fry setting.
With those countertop combo devices, I discovered the interior mess they produce. These upscale toaster ovens have been gaining traction. It is hard to discount 7-, 8- 9- even 10-in-1 combination devices for their apparent space-saving and multi-use benefits.
I learned that the extra cleanup required by their use as an air fryer and countertop broiler was not a time saver. Now, there is nothing inherently wrong with those countertop combo ovens, but I can do without the mess and cleanup, so I do not air fry foods that make a mess inside.
In my kitchen and with my home crew, I value my time.
With two separate and equal five quart baskets, each individually addressable and controllable, it is said we can do two unique and distinct preparations in each basket. Yes, it is two air fryers in one.
**WHAT’S IN THE BOX**

**THE SETUP**
There is not much to set up. First, wash both baskets and both inserts in preparation for first use. The interior and inserts are coated with non-stick material. The baskets and inserts are dishwasher safe.
Settings include Air Fry, Air Broil, Roast, Bake, Reheat, and Dehydrate. Temperature settings range from 105º to 450º, the lower setting used for dehydrating fruits and meats. Be wary of what appears to be the same model as this, sold elsewhere. It is NOT the same. The downside of the others is the temperature that can go only to 400º. This model is much more versatile, and, in my view, preferred.
Here are two unique features of THIS dual air fryer (from the manufacturer):
• DualZone™ Technology allows you to choose between the Smart Finish feature, which unlocks cooking 2 foods 2 ways that finish at the same time, and the Match Cook feature, which easily copies settings across zones for full 10-qt. capacity meals.
• IQ Boost optimally distributes power across each basket to cook a 6-lb. whole chicken and side as quickly as possible when Match Cook or Smart Finish is not selected.
**WHAT IS AN AIR FRYER?**
An air fryer is a convection oven by any other name. It has a top-mounted electric baking and broiling element with a fan to move the hot air and provide the convection effect. They do not “fry” food in a traditional sense. It is a marketing term to suggest that the results are healthier than traditional frying. Aren’t those marketing and advertising experts clever! Results are only healthier than traditional “frying” when using little to no oil as compared to frying with and in oil.
Now, back to the review. Scanning the manual and the Internet, it’s time to choose a couple of items to start testing versatility. Yes, it’s time to . . .
**PUT IT TO THE TEST**
My go-to test has been air frying a large, whole chicken. All of us here have come to absolutely love air fried, no-oil-added chicken. Not only is it consistently moist and flavorful more than other methods, but the cleanup is far and away the easiest anyone could encounter. With NO external mess and NO internal mess because all the splatter, the fat and what is encountered in conventional roasting is contained in the basket. The basket’s deep sides go very near to the electric burner at the top of the inside cavity. Whatever splatters up to the burner is burned away.
For the other basket we decided upon air fries. I cut up russets, liberally sprinkling with salt, pepper, smoked paprika and freshly minced garlic.
Set on Air Fry, the nearly 6-lb chicken would take about 50 minutes, turned once. The air fries would take about 40 minutes at a lower temp, shaking the basket once.
I used the Smart Finish feature to test if both could be finished at about the same time.
Both came out perfectly and finished at the same time. This is impressive!
Over the course of the next three days, I dehydrated apples to perfection. Then I seasoned some raw tri-tip and sirloin strips and made my own version of sugar-free jerky. Very tasty!
Next, baking. I found a recipe for air fryer cinnamon muffins and another for corn bread. Both were perfect.
And finally for this round of tests, an Air Fryer stir fry with marinated veggies, completely prepared in the bottom of the basket without the screen on the Air Broil setting. They were as if pan fried in the basket with the broiler-like heat from above. The lack of mess was so welcome and the result was the same as doing this on the stovetop. Every six minutes I pulled out the basket and gave the contents a stir until done, about 35 minutes at 330ºF.
I am sure we will be more creative in the future.
For now, with nearly daily use, I am finding a place to stage it for convenient access.
Cleanup has been easy as expected. I have both hand washed the basket and screen as well as cleaned both parts in the dishwasher. Easy as can be. This is a major plus.
**CONCLUSION**
For anyone who can make use of what is functionally two separate and identical high quality 5-qt Air Fryers side-by-side within a single housing, this is for you! And remember, the IQ Boost setting assures that both sides will be done at the same time if you choose to use this feature.

Lightweight and mostly plastic, with a 4-inch, 5X magnification and magnetized mirror, this vanity mirror is designed for home for travel use.
The main mirror has a built-in ring light powered by three included AA batteries. There is a master switch on the rear, which, when enabled, allows a touch-sensitive switch on the mirror face to become active. That touch switch, when held, dims the ring light to a lower level without reversing the process to brighten. Automatically turning off after 15 minutes saves battery power.
The light is bright enough to be useful and the entire assembly is lightweight enough to be packed for travel and is easily disassembled.
There is a 4-inch magnetized and removable mirror that nests in an inset on the rear. Remove it and it can attach magnetically to the center of the face of the main mirror providing 5X magnification.
In two pieces in its box, the mirror on its gimbaled stem attaches to a shallow bowl-like storage tray, which proves useful for containing jewelry the user might place in it during use or as a staging area while applying cosmetics.

Turn on the master switch, touch the switch on the face of the mirror to turn on the ring light. Hold to dim the light to the intended intensity. If magnification is wanted, remove the 4-inch magnetic 5X insert mirror from its nest in the rear and hand hold it or affix it centrally and magnetically to the front of the mirror.
Rotate the mirror on its gimbal mount to provide lower or higher positioning for use.
Use the tray to hold whatever the user wishes to place in it.
Pretty simple. Pretty effective.
The assembly is sturdy and durable, and lightweight enough for use during travel.
Is 5X magnification enough? Only the user can determine this. The lady of this house would have preferred 10X magnification, but she has no qualms about its operation and utility. I guess it’s all a function of the eyes of the beholder who may or may not require glasses and need more magnification when wearing glasses while applying makeup is not an option.
Makes sense to me!
**CONCLUSION**
Useful, well made and well-designed.
