Can i use my accessories from Hero 4 on this newer Hero 8? Thanks

Yes, nearly all GoPro mounts use our standard connector, so they will also work with the HERO8 Black. The exception would be any accessories that fit directly around the camera itself like a dive housing. Since the HERO8 Black is a different size and shape to the HERO4, it will not fit with those types of accessories.

how deep can this camera go

On its own without a separate housing, it can go down to 33 feet. There is separate dive housing you can use with the HERO7 Black that will allow you to go as deep as 196 feet if you want to go deeper than 33 feet with the camera.

Hello, It seems as though this has been answered. However, I was informed this camera would allow me to stream the video through my laptop. Is that accurate information?

The HERO7 Silver does not have the live streaming function within the camera itself. It may be possible to do that using third-party apps or tools though. Can you Livestream? Can you see yourself while videotaping yourself for vlogging? Or do you have to record then watch? the adjust?

And yes, you can see yourself while using the HERO8 Black. One method is to pair the GoPro to your smartphone using the GoPro app. It will allow you to see what you GoPro sees on your phone in real time. We have also announced the new Media Mod and the Display Mod which can connect directly to the HERO8 Black and allow you to use a flip-up display to see what the GoPro sees.

do you need a sim card for the hero 8?

The MAX doesn't have a specific zoom function. Instead, it captures a wide field of view, which you can then zoom in on later using our apps or other tools to crop the shot down to the parts you want to see.

Can you control the camera functions from the app such as zooming in / out or tilting up / down?

The zoom controls are on the GoPro itself. There are no controls for panning or tilting within the GoPro itself or the app. Those controls would be determined by the mount or tripod you use with the GoPro, not by the camera itself.
