Does the Lift Away have electrical power when used alone on the NV360K Lift Away Deluxe and the 360 Rotator Professional?

Yes, indeed. The lift away feature, will allow for more maneuverability but the electrical power cord is attached to the lift away canister, as that is where the motor is situated.

How do you empty the bagless bag? Does it make a mess?

Thank you for your question. The Shark - Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe Bagless Upright Vacuum
is very easy to empty.

Simply, Undo the latches on the sides of the dust cup by lifting them up and outwards to remove the dust cup from the motor base.

Hold the dust cup over a trash receptacle and press the bottom door release button. Tap gently to empty contents. Press the door shut again until it clicks.

Consumer Reports hasn't had vacuum reviews since 11/2015. At that time, they said the Rotator NV501 was the top vacuum cleaner. It seems to be on sale everywhere. Has a new (better) one replaced it? I only see that the lights are different?
