Set up this Sonos Five wireless speaker in your living room to get the party going. I have a sonos soundbar mounted on top of tv. It does a good job of filling a large room, but with an open floor plan, I need more sound on the other end of open room, approximately 50 feet. Is this the speaker I need, and will it pair with soundbar?
Hi, and thank you for your question! The first thing to we'd like to mention here is to make sure that you run our Trueplay tuning feature with an IOS device. (Has to be IOS because of the consistency with the microphones) This will ensure you're getting the most accurate sound for your space and could make a big difference! If you have done that or are not able to, and still not getting enough sound in the back of the room, then yes, this speaker will fill a large space nicely. To clarify, this speaker alone can be grouped to play the same thing your TV is playing in the back of the room, or two of them can be used as wireless surround sounds.

If I bought 3 Sonos speakers to put in 3 different rooms, can I play music from one device on two speakers (in two different rooms) and have my wife listen to a different device on the third speaker at the same time?

If you mount the Sonos Arc with our specific Arc mount, the Sonos Arc will automatically go into "on wall" mode, which slightly tempters the bass response so that it doesn't vibrate your wall. In addition, you can Trueplay tune your Sonos speakers, which is our proprietary tuning software that allows you to use an IOS device to tune your Sonos speakers to your rooms environment.

Why is this so expensive as just a port to hook up to an already existing applifier? I have a whole house dedicated so Sonos but would like the option for my main system to sync. Is this the only option to do that?

This is an earlier generation of a similar function of the Port. The Sonos Port provides you with better audio quality, connectivity, and future features over the CONNECT. Hi! Thanks for your question. The Sonos Sub connects to your Sonos soundbar with a 5Ghz wireless signal (that the soundbar is emitting). Hi! Thank you so much for your question. The Sonos Beam will only work with a Sonos Sub. The Beam does not have a traditional Subwoofer-out port.

I want a speaker by my chair no wires running to tv so i don't have to play my tv so loud is that possible i live in a senior home and i am hard of hearing.
Hi, and thank you for your question! It is possible, however you would have to have one of our Home theater products (Arc, Beam, Amp) plugged in to your tv. Then, you would need one of our speakers by your chair. Then, those two products can be grouped together with separate volume controls through our free app.

Has anyone used the Ikea Symphonik speakers as rear surrounds? It looks like the Ikea Syphonik are wifi only (meaning no bluetooth) so if you have these as rear surrounds I would be very thankful for you to confirm this works well.
Hi, and thank you for your question! The Syphonik speakers are designed to work on wifi only as wifi is a superior listening experience over bluetooth wherever wifi is available. It sets up just as easily to your network as you other Sonos wireless speakers.
