Hello, thank you for your question. These Sonos products are wireless in how they communicate to other speakers, how they connect to your network, and in how they are controlled. They do require a power cord so they can maintain connection and have the power they need to produce sound.

i recently ordered and received this Sonos adapter HOWEVER it doesn't fit my Samsung TV which requires an digital optical audio plug.

Hi, thanks for your comment. This male end of this adapter should fit all standard optical audio outputs on TVs. Be sure to remove the small clear plastic tip that is placed on the end of the optical end before trying to insert it in your TVs optical port. The female HDMI side is meant to connect to a HDMI cable to hook up to a Sonos Amp, Arc, or Beam.

can the power cord be hidden or how does sonos address this isue

Sonos power cords are not in-wall rated. For guidance on in wall high-voltage wiring we recommend following the rules of local fire codes.

I have 2 Klipsch subs, 12” and 15”, I’m assuming there’s a way to connect them to one system? App? I was using some old Sony wireless speakers w subs via Chromecast. Any ideas? New to Sonos world. Thanks

Hi, thank you for your question. Your subwoofers are not compatible with a Sonos Five but you would be able to connect one of your subwoofers to a Sonos Amp. If you had two Sonos Amps, this would allow you to connect each of your subwoofers.

Can I order / purchase the Arc power cord separately from the arc itself? Does anyone make a cord that is compatible outside Sonos? I have to wait two more weeks for the arc to arrive but need the power cord now to finish contracting work. Thanks

Hi, thank you for your question. On BestBuy.com you can purchase a power cord for Play:5, Beam, and Amp. This cable will be compatible with Arc. Be sure to order the correct length for your install.

I want to connect the audio from my outdoor TV to my existing Sonos system without having to physically connect any ethernet cables. Is there a Wifi bridge that I can use and group it to my existing speakers?

Hi, thank you for your question. In order to distribute analog audio through a home you can connect a RCA out from your TV to either a Port, Amp, or Sonos Five. If you wish to have a digital connection please use the Sonos Beam, Arc, or Amp.
The Connect, which is the older model of the Port would work in a similar manner. However, none of these Sonos products are rated to be used outdoors.
