The Sonos Beam is a 3.0 sound bar in that it discretely plays the Left, Center, and Right channels. The Beam uses all of its speakers in an array to make sure that you hear sound where it is designed to come from!

The Sonos Five can live on the same Sonos system and be grouped with Play:5 (Gen 2). You can not stereo pair the Sonos Five with a Play:5 (Gen 2) as the internals are different and will not allow the two to stereo pair.

Does the Sonos speakers come with a passcode?
There is no passcode for the individual speakers. However, the app does have an account level permission that in order to make major changes to the system you must be able to log into the Sonos account.

Will the Sonos Arc fit the wall mount for a Playbar?
The Sonos Arc is a drastic change in size and shape from the Playbar. We have created a new mount for Arc which also has some unique functionality to tell the Arc that it is wall mounted so it can adjust the sound profile to improve its sound while wall mounted. The good news is that you should be able to use the same holes that the Playbar mount was using to save drilling extra holes into your wall.

Is there a specific wall mount that needs to be used, or can you use same wall mount as with 5 generation 1?
You can use the same wall mount as the Play:5 (Gen 2) which is physically the exact same dimensions as the new Sonos Five as the updates were all color updates and internal updates.

How many wall speakers can be attached the sonos amp?
The Sonos Amp supports 6 of these speakers wired in parallel as they are designed to work with the Sonos Amp. With other in wall speakers the Amp only officially supports 4 speakers.

Could someone please tell me whether or not the new Sonos Arc will be compatible with my 11 year old Panasonic Viera TC-P54G10 TV? Thanks!
The Sonos Arc will work with any television that can output sound through either digital optical (with the included adapter) or HDMI ARC. You would not receive Atmos through the digital optical port as that port can not send Atmos codecs. You would still receive Dolby Digital surround sound and the Arc would use the entire array of speakers to make that sound incredible!

So if the arc operates on a different app, how is it possible it can be combined with your current Sonos speakers when they will stay on the current app?
The Arc must use the new (launching June 8th) Sonos app. There is an easy upgrade path from your current Sonos app to the new app as long as all of your current Sonos speakers are compatible with the new app. The only players that are NOT compatible with the new app are Connect and Connect:Amps that were produced prior to 2015, the Play:5 (Gen 1), and any product that was named with "ZP". If you have any of these players, they will have to stay on the S1 app and will not work directly with products that are on the new Sonos app. You can find more information on this at sonos.com/support by searching for S2.

I recently bought a Sunbrite 55” Veranda TV from Best Buy. I am not pleased with the sound at all. . Will the Sonos Beam work as a good external speaker?? I assume I can pair it with my other Sonos speakers and play music too when not watching TV.
The Beam is designed to sound great with television content but also tuned specifically for music when music is playing. You can absolutely use it to sync the audio from the rest of your Sonos system!
