The Beam comes with an HDMI cable and should be connected to the HDMI ARC port on the back of your new Samsung television!

I can you tell me what equipment I need to hook up 4 in ceiling sonos speakers with a wireless playbar and subwoofer

You would need the Playbar, the Sub, and then a Sonos Amp. You can bond the Sonos Amp that is powering those four speakers into a surround sound system with the Playbar as the primary speaker for the front three channels.

This can be grouped with a Sonos sound bar to play the same content across your home. What would I need to hook up 4 ceiling mount sonos speakers and wireless sub and sound bar for great sounding home theater

Great question! In order to set up a great sounding Sonos 5.1 surround sound system with ceiling mounted speakers you would need a Playbar, Playbase, or Beam for your front 3 channels (Left, Right, and Center), an Amp to power the in ceiling speakers or two ceiling mounted Sonos Ones for your rear channels (rear left and rear right), and a Sonos Sub for your bass (the .1 in 5.1).

Can I use the alexa or google assistant without the HDMI ARC and no connection to the TV or Do I need a converter for the HDMI ARC because I dont have the HDMI ARC on my tv

Great question! The Beam will function as a voice enabled smart speaker even if it is not connected to a television. In order for Google Assistant or Alexa to control the television (power on/off, volume, etc) it must be connected via HDMI ARC. The Beam has a digital optical adapter in the box that will allow you to connect it to a television that does not have HDMI ARC. You will get the same sound from the television as you would with HDMI ARC but will NOT be able to control the television with voice assistants if you are connected through digital optical.

If buying 2 speakers, do they provide true stereo sound or just "sound separation"?

Great question! If you stereo pair two Sonos One (Gen 2) speakers in the application they reproduce true stereo sound. The left channel will come from one speaker and the right from the other! Even with a stereo pair you are able to utilize our Trueplay tuning technology in the app to tune the pair to your room!
