I purchased 2 of these speakers at Best Buy.When we connected them they would not work. I connected to my Smart Phone. Long story short we returned them got help from one of the Geeks,he said that these speakers were not Bluetooth computable is this so?PL

Sonos One SL is not a Bluetooth compatible speaker. This speaker utilizes your home WiFi connection to stream music from any of your favorite services or your locally stored content. This allows for less compressed music while removing the distractions from notifications you get when you play music over Bluetooth.

Can I pair a Sonos One (Gen 2) with an existing Sonos Play: 1 and Play 5 pairing?

Great question! Unfortunately, you can not stereo pair a Sonos One (Gen 2) with a Play:1 or a Play:5. You can group this speaker to play the same content throughout your home over WiFi as they all take advantage of the Sonos system.

Are these a wireless connection with the Sonos Boost? Or do they need to be directly wired to a receiver?

Great question! These speakers need to be wired an amplifier, such as an audio video receiver, with speaker wire. They are designed to work best with the Sonos Amp and can when hooked into the Amp they can take advantage of our Trueplay tuning technology as well as a custom tuned sound profile for these speakers.

I just installed the Sonos Beam digitally through my cable box as my TV was already mounted on the wall. Works great but the audio on my DVD won't work unless I revert to the TV speakers. Will this be a problem unless I run a HDMI cable to the ARC?

Great question! If you run an HDMI cable to your television and take advantage of ARC it will work with each other source that is plugged into the television. If you are running digital audio from the cable box the Beam only sees the audio that is coming from that source.

What type of power is required at the speaker? 110, low voltage, ect?

These speakers must be connected to an amplifier with speaker wire and are designed to work specifically with the Sonos Amp! When connected to the Sonos Amp these speakers can be tuned with Trueplay technology and have specific settings to make them sound incredible!

These are passive speakers that must be wired into a amplifier to play music. They are specifically designed to take advantage of the Sonos Amp but will work with other amplifiers as well.

Can the Sonos Beam be used as a computer speaker(s) for a desktop set-up? How would I connect, wired or WiFi?

Great question! As long as your desktop can output sound through HDMI ARC or through digital optical (which would require the included adapter) a Beam is a great sound solution for all of your content you play on your desktop!

I've read that this Sonos doesn't integrate well with Google Assistant, will it work properly with my Google Pixel 4?

Thanks for your question! Sonos supports Google Assistant on the Beam and across our system. As long as your Pixel 4 is connected to the same WiFi network as your Sonos products you can control your Sonos experience through your Pixel 4. We are always working to improve our Google Assistant functionality as well so you can expect to see more and more features added over time.
