The Beam can plug into any source with eARC, ARC, or optical. However, it's recommended that it plugs directly into the tv for the best experience.

Sonos soundbars are compatible with any TV that has eARC, ARC, or optical ports. So yes. - Sonos Subs are compatible with any Sonos soundbars. So also yes. :)

Thanks for your question. They can be, however they are designed to work best with the Sonos Amp. That's the key difference with these speakers.

I have an older sound bar with optical in. My tv has an hdmi arc connection, would this adapter allow me to control the sound at volume with my tv remote?

Thank you for your question. This adapter is designed for TV's with only optical ports, giving them the ability to plug into Sonos soundbars with HDMI.
