I have a wired system with a receiver that has two zones; one in our great room and one outside with two speakers on our deck. If I just wanted to stream music through the outside speakers would the Port be the component I need?

You would need the Port. If you want autonomous control over the different zones, you would have to buy a Port for each of the two zones.

Not without the Sonos Port. You can plug a Port into each receiver/amplifier you have in the house. Then you could group the Roam and the Port together to play the same thing at the same time.

Yes! Start the bluetooth stream on Roam and then group your other Sonos speakers to it in the Sonos app to do this.

can you add more than 2 speakers ?

Hi, and thank you for your question. Yes, as long as they are 4ohms speakers. Keep in mind that whatever speakers are plugged into the same amp will all play the same thing at the same time no matter what. Not a big deal if all 4 speakers are in the same room, but it can be if you're putting both sets in different rooms.
