We just connected the Sonos Beam to our Samsung smart TV. However, we now seem to be unable to access our DVD player which we used prior to the Sonos Beam addition. It is a plain DVD player and is not connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. How do we fix?

I am looking for a solution to my inability to understand voices on tv. Increased volume doesn’t help me. I need voice clarification. Will a sound bar help me?
Hi, and thank you for your question. Yes the Beam should help. It has a center channel dedicated for dialog. Also, our soundbars have a feature called "speech enhance" it looks like a little text box. If you turn that on, it turns up just the center channel used for dialog, without turning up the rest of the volume. Does the iPhone put out stereo waves? If so, if I buy one speaker now and later buy another, will I get stereo,(or better), sound?
Hi, and thank you for you question. It's not really about the iphone putting out stereo. It's about what format the audio is recorded in. So if the music you're listening to is in stereo (which virtually all is) then you'll get stereo from our products. Now, we do our best to replicate stereo our of one Sonos speaker, however you can stereo pair our products. A speaker like Roam is so small that it's hard to fit the hardware for a big stereo experience. If you'd like to stereo pair Roams you can, but only over wifi. No bluetooth. So one Roam is your left channel and the other is the right.

just purchased the Sonos Arc and didn't realize how heavy it is!! I can't place it on my TV console because I already am above the weight for the console with my 85in TV1! Can I place it on the floor in front of the console??
Technically you can place it where ever you want. It's up to you on that front. It won't give you an optimal sound experience however if you run our trueplay tuning on an ios device you'll get the best acoustic experience that you can.

Hi, and thank you very much for your question and considering our products. Yes, you'll be able to connect them to your LG TV. Your tv should have eARC which is what you'll plug Arc into. The tv should set the right audio setting automatically. However, there are many different standards for HDMI from tv companies. So, we recommend going into your tv settings and ensuring that the proper audio settings are set on the tv.

I live in a condo. If I add the sub woofer to the sound bar and the two speakers with the TV will it be to much sound and travel to my neighbors above or below me? Or is the surround sound great with just sounder and speakers?
Hi, and thank you for your question! The Sonos Sub has a feature called "Night Sound" built right into the app. It looks like a quarter moon. If that feature is activated it tempers the frequency response of Sub. So, you'll still get the low end, but there's no jolts of sound. You can always try the surrounds and if you think that's enough sound then awesome! But if you still want that extra "oomf" you can grab the Sub whenever you want!

Will the Sonos Arc perform well outdoors?
Hi, and thank you for your question. The Arc is not designed for outdoor use. If you're putting it in a covered patio or something like that, it should be fine. Just keep in mind it's not designed for harsh weather condition. Sound experience can very based on this environment.

Can the Sonos speakers be used for outdoors? I'm thinking of putting them in my patio, but not sure how they would keep up with the weather(dust, rain, heat) and work in those conditions. If not what is recommended Sonos product for outdoor speakers?
Hi, and thank you very much for your question. The One SL is not rated for outdoor use. Our recommendation would be to run a pair of outdoor speakers with our amplifier. You could also run multiple speakers with a 3rd party amplifier and plug the Sonos Port into that. We also have a pair of outdoor speakers in collaboration with Sonance you can find by searching "sonos outdoor speakers" in best buy's website/app. If you're not looking for a permanently installed solution, we would recommend the Sonos Move, and our newest products announcement the Sonos Roam. Move is great for the back patio. It's a portable solution with big sound. The Sonos Roam is an ultra portable, and durable outdoor solution.
