Sonos - One SL Wireless Smart Speaker - Black

Get rich, room-filling sound with this Sonos One SL speaker, and control it with the Sonos app, Apple AirPlay 2, and more. Pair it with Sonos One or another One SL in the same room for stereo separation and more detailed sound.

Can the Sonos speakers be used for outdoors? I'm thinking of putting them in my patio, but not sure how they would keep up with the weather(dust, rain, heat) and work in those conditions. If not what is recommended Sonos product for outdoor speakers?

Hi, and thank you very much for your question. The One SL is not rated for outdoor use. Our recommendation would be to run a pair of outdoor speakers with our amplifier. You could also run multiple speakers with a 3rd party amplifier and plug the Sonos Port into that. We also have a pair of outdoor speakers in collaboration with Sonance you can find by searching "sonos outdoor speakers" in best buy's website/app. If you're not looking for a permanently installed solution, we would recommend the Sonos Move, and our newest products announcement the Sonos Roam. Move is great for the back patio. It's a portable solution with big sound. The Sonos Roam is an ultra portable, and durable outdoor solution.

Hi, and thank you for your question. This adapter is designed to plug into an optical port, and has female hdmi on the other end. Theoretically and audio device that has hdmi ARC would receive the audio.

Hi, and thank you for your question. It could technically be used as the speaker for it, but the microphone is only for voice assistant commands form Alexa or Google Assistant.

Can these speakers be operated with the S-1 app? If not, is there a way to integrate them with our other SONOS speakers?

Hi, and thank you for you question. No, starting last year with Arc, SubG3, and Five all products going forward will only work with our S2 platform.

Hi, and thank you for your question. Sort of. It's designed to create a dedicated mesh network that only Sonos receives and repeats. It's needed if you wifi environment has dead zones or is bogged down by many other products streaming at the same time. You can have up to 31 other sonos products with it. Whichever products you want.

hi, i have a butch of sonos speakers. i think there great, i have a butch of 5plays threw out my house , if buy the 6.5 pair and a amp. which is louder ? next question is , sonos is known for wireless. so do i have to run the 6.5 with speaker wire?

Hi, and thank you for reaching out with your question. A pair of In ceilings are maybe a touch louder than a single Play5. The benefit here is the ability to put them in your ceiling and not be seen, as well as more detailed stereo separation. Yes, you would have to run speaker wire to the speakers. The music is wireless from your source to the Amp, but you still need the speaker wire to plug into the Amp for power and receive the audio signal.
