Bring all your entertainment to life with the extraordinarily realistic sound of this Sonos Arc - the premium smart soundbar for TV, movies, gaming, and more.

i have 2 questions....it seems that the voices are low when people are talking. Is there any way to move the voice volume up other than the speech enhancement....Also, how can i verify i am getting the 5.1 Dolby sound out of the soundbar...

Hi, and thank you very much for your question.

1) First ensure that your TV is putting out the proper audio codec. You can find this in the Tv's audio settings. The Arc has a dedicated center speaker for speech and the enhancement should be plenty of sound for dialog. So we'd venture to guess the TV is not putting out the proper audio signal.

2) To check what audio format you're getting go to settings -> system -> About my Sonos system -> scroll down to the Arc: "Name of room" ---- There you should see "Audio in" and the signal that it's receiving. Best to do this with Netflix or a dvd that you know is in 5.1. It should say "Dolby Digital 5.1"

Give it a few seconds to catch up and even go back a page and then back to the about my system to let it refresh if needed, however it should update in real time. If you're watching something that you know is 5.1 and it's not getting a 5.1 signal after a minute or two, then it's probably the TV or the streaming device (Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, ext) is probably not set to the appropriate audio settings.

This should also help with your first question.

Feel free to reach out to us at Sonos.com/support if you have any questions. We'd love to help you out!

Does the arc include a 4K hdmi cable to connect to a 4K tv?

Hi, and thank you for your question! The hdmi cable is not 4k, however it is sufficient for handling the data transfer needed for all Atmos audio codecs.

Stream audio to a stereo system with this matte black Sonos Port. The audio line-in lets you connect CD players and record players, while the line-out supports RCA or digital connections for amplified audio equipment. This Sonos Port features easy-to-use controls so you can adjust volume, bass and treble, and the Ethernet port supports high-speed connections.

WHat is the difference between this sonos port streaming media player and the sonos amp besides price? Also will either one connect with my 5 disc cd player??

Hi, and thank you for your question. The Sonos Amp is an amplifier that delivers power to passive speakers, where Port is a non-amplified device that plugs into the amplifier (or receiver) to give it the ability to stream music via the Sonos app. So you had a pair of outdoor speakers and wanted to give them power from Sonos you'd use Amp. But, if those speakers were already plugged into a amplifier or receiver, you would plug Port into the receiver and it would give you the same result. In your case, you would want the Sonos Port. Your CD player can plug into that and then you can play that music wirelessly to your other Sonos speakers in your house. If the disc player has analog out, you could plug it into the back of Amp as well. And that will wire to your passive speakers (towers, bookshelf, ext) and play your CD. Enhance your home audio with this Class D Sonos amplifier. Its 125W of power per channel lets you enjoy high-resolution sound from your bookshelf speakers, TV and other passive components, and Wi-Fi connectivity supports multiroom setups and wireless streaming via AirPlay and the Sonos app.

I have 2 Bose Free Space 51 Outdoor In-Ground Speakers. Is this Sonos Amp the best option for remote streaming and is there a utube or other video that will help with setting up and utilizing the streaming features for this amp?

Hi, and thank you for your question. Yes, you can use amp to power those speakers with the Sonos Amp! Our app walks you through the set up process, however Best Buy does offer professional installation. There are no videos online that we have endorsed as a company, but probably many helpful ones!

Is the amp the gen 1 version or gen 2?

Hi, and thank you for reaching out! There is technically no "Gen2" Amp. There's Connect:Amp with is the old model and this "Amp" is the newest model.

Can the Bean be used outisde...specifically a covered/screened outdoor patio.

Hi, and thank you very much for your question. The Beam is not rated for outdoor use, however as long it's covered and not exposed to the elements of rain or snow it should be okay. Keep in mind though that we can't guarantee quality as it's not rated to be outdoors for a prolonged period of time.

Hi, and thank you for your question. This is designed to plug optical into the tv and carry sound to the female HDMI into whatever audio source you have that is compatible with HDMI. Your headset would have to receive audio and process it via HDMI.

If I looking to connect wired outdoor speakers do I need the Amp or the Port. The speakers would be connected directly and the goal would be to stream from the app.

Hi, and thank you for your question. The Sonos Amp is what you would need. It will allow you to run your outdoor speakers directly into it and stream music wirelessly to them!
