I recently purchased x1 sonos 5 speaker to add to my Arc/sub gen 3 setup. When using the app I am able to control the volume as a group (volume increases and decreases together across all speakers). With universal remote, only arc/sub respond. Why?

Hi, and thank you for your question! If the Sonos Five is set up as an independent speaker (it's own room) the remote will only turn up what is connected to the tv physically because the remote is designed to only control the Tv. There's no way for the tv remote to control the Five (or anything that doesn't use IR). To turn them both up, you'd have to use the app to turn the group up.

Hi, and thank you for your question! You can use the passive speakers with Amp as rears for Beam, but you cannot use Beam as rears with Amp.
