Difference between ln40B500 & ln40530?

I see Samsung now has an LN40B500 model, what are the differences between the 530 & the 500?
Thanks for the question! For comparison sake and for anyone else that may be reading this answer, I will compare the B500 with the B530 and the B550. The Main differences are: the B500 offers a 40,000:1 contrast ratio, while the other two units offer a 60,000:1 and 70,000:1 ratio respectively. Also the B500 offers 2 HDMI inputs: (back), 1 Component video: (back), 1 Composite input: (back – shared w/component), 1 Optical sound output: (back), 1 PC input: (back). The B530 offers one extra HDMI and the B550 offers two extra HDMI inputs over the B500. Also the B550 offers USB2.0 that allows you to connect a usb device to the TV for mp3 and photo playback, while both the B530 and B500 do not.

does it work in europe

If you purchase the unit within the North American Territories, it will only have support for NTSC/ATSC/QAM broadcasting systems and only 100v-127v 60Hz power. Outside of the NA territories you will not only need a converter for the broadcast, but also for the power.

what's the difference betwen a LN40B530 & A 540

Thanks for the question! Some of the differences between the B530 and the B540 are: 1) the B540 is a Warehouse Club exclusive. 2) The B540 offers USB2.0 for photo and MP3 playback from a USB device. 3) The B540 offers an extra HDMI and component on the rear of the TV.

What is the differance between a Diagonal T.V and a Widescreen T.V. ?

Actually, these terms refer to 2 different aspects of the same TV. Widescreen just refers to the aspect ratio of the TV (widescreen usually equals 16:9). Diagonal refers to the measurement of the TV or how the measurement is taken; diagonally.

Can I use a "6-in-one" Cable Kit ?

I have a USB Cable with 6 adaptors, would I be able to use this cable with this TV?
Due to the fact that the B530 does not offer support for USB2.0 media playback features, the cable you are mentioning can not be used.

How good IS this TV?

I am watching a Sony Bravia (low end) and am considering exchanging it for this Samsung. How good IS this TV w/o HD coming from a special box via my cable company? This Bravia isn't hooked up to "HD" and yet the pic is beautiful? Will this Samsung be even better with it's higher numbers?
Thanks for considering the Samsung LCD B530 series as one of your purchases. Although I would be very biased as to which TV you should pick, I can only say this: If you really want to see which TV offers a better picture, why not head into your local Best Buy and comparing them side by side. I would say this will be the only way to make the right choice, compare them and see which unit looks better to you. Also the B530 will display your analogue content with ease and clarity thanks to the built in digital tuner that supports analogue broadcasts and the Wide Color Enhancer image processing engine which literally enhances your picture. -MrSamsung

are some of your tv's both PAL/SECAM and NTSC etc?

the reason for this question is that some of your customers are foreigners or have families outside of the Us and might want to carry their tv sets over to them.

Remote control or not?

It says you have to buy a remote for this TV. I read your previous answer but will you please CONFIRM that this set has a remote control?
I'm sorry for the confusion. All the Samsung TVs come with a remote. If at any point on the product page, it says that you need to buy a remote, it is most likely referring to the purchase of a universal remote if you would like to control more then just your TV (since the Samsung remote is not a universal remote).
