Does the impedance of the headphones affect the quality or volume of the sound?

It's because i always have to crank up the mp3 player's volume to near maximum just to get the headphones' output to listening level.

The impedance of the HD 201 is fairly low. Even the lowest output devices can power it just fine.

Ease of travel / portability

Are these headphones suited for someone who travels or is always on the go. I'm looking for headphones to use with my iPod, laptop, or at home watching movies. Is this headphone durable enough for travel or would you recommend another one of your products? I'm looking for an over the ear product. Thanks

Will I need a headphone amp to get a sufficient volume level when doing home producing?

If purchased I will be using the headphones plugged directly into my laptop do produce and mix music. While some consumer headphones have sufficient volume, some studio headphones require a headphone amp to produce adequate volume.

These headphones have a fairly low impedance- you will get ample volume and clean, natural sound without exaggeration (true, unbiased linear sound reproduction) at all volumes.

Yes, simply plug them into the headphone plug on your receiver.

2G iphone compatible?

The iPhone 2G needs a very small head phone connector, will these work with my iPhone?

Hello- These will work great with your 2nd generation iPhone. They would only need an adapter for the very first iPhone.
