Can you transfer a video that was on a videocasette to a DVD?

You can connect the Videocassette play directly to a standalone DvD Recorder and copy the video that way. Assuming it is not copyrighted material. You can also get the Dazzle from Pinnacle and connect to your computer and burn DvDs using the burner if your computer has one. More information on the Dazzle can be found here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...

camcorder

i have a sony dcr-dvd108 i need the cable that go from the camcorder to the tv
This A/V cable is different than other Sony A/V cables in that it includes a S-Video connection and uses a different connection to the camcorder body. You can check with the Geek Squad and see if one can be ordered into your nearest BestBuy.

which cameras have the color accent feature

It is more common on upper end Canon Cameras (Compact and Advanced) and there may be some Sony and Casio cameras that have that feature.
The same effect can also be achieved in photo programs like Adobe Photoshop.

How can I tell how far out a camera can zoom?

I will be taking pics of home interiors and need a camera that will zoom out pretty far
It's not so much how far you can zoom out as in the ability to have a Wide Angle. This will show the rooms better than just zooming out. Look for cameras that list Wide Angle Lens. Panasonic and Olympus have several models with this feature.

Best camcorder for viewing in slow speed?

What would be a good camcorder to buy which has a fast speed? I want to record fast moving things so I can slow them down and see them in a very slow speed. Thank you.
Some consumer grade camcorders at best shoot in 60fps (Frames Per Second) which would do OK slow motion. If your wanting to do something along the lines of the Time Warp TV show you would need 1000fps and higher. That's not available at the consumers level camera. Casio is looking at producing some 1000 fps cameras.

Will a 70-300 mm zoom lens shoot wildlife pictures a half mile away?

That is a little bit far to ask of a 70-300mm lens to get and expect any detail. It would also depend on tripod and stabilization on lens/camera and if your just wanting to shoot groups of animals or individuals. Groups would probably be fine but you would have to get closer for any tight shots.

cameras that use xD Picture Card

I want a new camera that uses the Olympus xD Picture card memory. Does any other manufacturer use this memory format?
There are a few Fuji Finepix cameras that will use xD. Those that do are both SD and xD compatible.

what is the difference between digital camera 8 SLR digital camera

Digital cameras store the images on a removable media (in most cases) such as Compact Flash or Memory Stick. A SLR(Single Lens Reflex) Camera shoots it's photos on film and has changeable lenses, full manual control and shoots “Pro” type photos. If it is a D-SLR (Digital-SLR), it does everything a film SLR does, but uses a Digital Sensor instead of Film. D-SLR Cameras come in two sensor sizes 1.5 (1.6) and Full Size (35mm film equivalent). Both D-SLR sensor sizes are considerably bigger than a compact camera sensors.

How can I get the best Quality Video transferred to a DVD?

I've been looking at digital camcorders, but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed on the quality of the picture when I transfer the videos to DVD. I've converted several .avi files sent by family members to DVDs and the picture quality is horrible. (I'm playing the DVDs in a Blueray player on an HD TV.) If I can't get much better quality that I've seen, I see no reason to buy a camcorder.
Converting a video file to .AVI can give you good quality depending on the bit rate settings and compression codec used. However, you cannot make a Standard Definition video look High Def, regardless of the quality.
The best way to transfer video to DvD is to use a standalone DvD Recorder deck and connect your camcorder directly to the deck. If the camcorder is a High Def and uses the AVCHD file format the file can be copied to a computer and burned directly to a disk and played on a Blu-Ray player. The player will decode the format and play back in High Def.
