What camcorder has best image stabilization feature

Almost ALL the new camcorders have this function, some call it Super Steady Shot (Sony) or O.I.S (Optical Image Stabilizer) on Panasonic camcorders. Other manufactures just call it Stabilizer. Sony was one of the first to make this a standard in there camcorders and do have one of the best. Panasonic's O.I.S is also an exceptional stabilizer. Either of thees would work well for you.

Specific Camera Features

Im looking for a new camera and I want the feature on a digital camera where you can take a picture and have only one color show up like red or blue, etc..
I want something slim too.
You might want to consider one of the Canon PowerShot ELPH cameras that will get you the small size and the ability to do “Color Accent” where you can choose to retain a single color in your image while other colors turn monochrome and “Color Swap Select” that lets you select a color and replace it with a color you specify for special effects.

I want to buy my wife a new digital camera so I can"t decide whether to get an ultra slim model or a bigger SLR camera that takes better pictures?

You have an interesting decision ahead of you. The portability and “point and shoot” ease you get with a compact vs the creative control and far better quality photo with a Digital –SLR. Well to suggest the obvious. Consider BOTH. With an inexpensive compact and a entry level D-SLR she’ll have a carry around camera for the every day kind of photos, the one’s that JUST HAPPEN. With the D-SLR she’ll have the quality camera for special events and once in a life time family memories. There are several entry level D-SLR’s that are in the $500-$700 range and many compacts under $150.

my fuji s3100 says read error.

what is read error how do i fix this
“Read Error” and similar errors can refer to many different things from the Lens not retracting to memory reading errors. The best and safest thing to do is bring it to your local BestBuy and have it looked at.

Digital camera memory card backup

What is the equipment that I can download my memory card into instead of having to take my laptop on vacation to download my pics and clean off the memory card? I understand it holds about 80GB and around $100.
The device is referred to as an Image Tank or sometimes Image Bank. It is a portable, self contained multi card reader with built in storage, any where from 30gb up to 120gb.
This allows you to store your photos from your memory card directly to a hard drive and reformat your card to keep shooting. Later your can upload the photos from the hard drive to your computer to print or email. Some are sold as just the box and you add the drive of your choice, others come in pre set sizes.

L'm looking for a slim camera with the biggest lcd screen and easy to operate?

The largest LCD Screen is generally 3”. Compact cameras are getting easy to use…point and shoot….as the saying goes. Sony and Panasonic making some of the more user friendly models, slim and with great features. Stop by your local BestBuy and try a few out.

Videos from Canon HG10 into Mac

Hi
I have a Mac(PowerbookG4) and Canon Camcorder HG10. I can't transfer videos into my Mac. Apple says that only with a firewire cable I could be able to do so but they don't sell compatible firewire cable with Canon camcorder.
Any solutions? Options?
Thank you
Importing from USB to your Power Mac should work fine. It appears that the G4 Power Mac running iMove '08 will not support the ACVHD format, Intel Mac's running Leopard will run ACVHD native using iMovie '08 much better. There are some Third Party AVCHD conversation utilities available that will convert the footage to Apple Intermediate CODEC, and then you can import the converted footage into iMovie or other editing software. The Canon HG10 does not have a Firewire Out connection, only USB and A/V (Audio Video) Out. Hope this helps.

I want to hook up my camcorder to my computer and i don't know how to? My camera holds 8MP tape.

I hope you meant 8MM Tape. If so, then one way is to get a Digital 8 camcorder to play this back through the Firewire connection. A Digital 8 camcorder, cable and a Firewire port on your computer will be needed for this plus editing software to do the capturing. Another option is a capture device such as the Pinnacle Dazzle that connects to you computer and your camcorder connects to it with A/V (Audio Video) cables. Basic editing software comes with the package.

yellow indoor photos-why ?

When I take indoor photos without a flash they look yellowish and a little dark. What can I do to fix this--I'm sure the answer is simple--Sorry for the dumb question.
As has been mentioned, the white balance could be one source of why there is a color “tint”. The first thing is to check if the camera is in Auto White Balance mode. If not then set it to Auto. Another possibility, which I think may be the problem, is that the camera has the AE Shift set to a – (negative) setting. This will cause the camera to shoot darker than what you see on the LCD screen or in the view finder. Shooting indoors when there is not enough light wil cause photos to come out a little yellowish. It is very easy to accidentally change the AE setting. Check your manual to find where this setting is and make sure it is set to the middle ( 0 ) mark. If this is a Digital-SLR, check the AE Shift, and while in manual mode, adjust the aperture and shutter settings until you see the meter in the view finder get to the center mark. This will give you proper exposure.
