yellow indoor photos-why ?
When I take indoor photos without a flash they look yellowish and a little dark. What can I do to fix this--I'm sure the answer is simple--Sorry for the dumb question.
As has been mentioned, the white balance could be one source of why there is a color “tint”. The first thing is to check if the camera is in Auto White Balance mode. If not then set it to Auto. Another possibility, which I think may be the problem, is that the camera has the AE Shift set to a – (negative) setting. This will cause the camera to shoot darker than what you see on the LCD screen or in the view finder. Shooting indoors when there is not enough light wil cause photos to come out a little yellowish. It is very easy to accidentally change the AE setting. Check your manual to find where this setting is and make sure it is set to the middle ( 0 ) mark. If this is a Digital-SLR, check the AE Shift, and while in manual mode, adjust the aperture and shutter settings until you see the meter in the view finder get to the center mark. This will give you proper exposure.
