For the Canon - PowerShot 14.1-Megapixel Digital Camera - Pink, there is an underwater shooting mode. What does this mean?

I do not believe this is a waterproof camera, so what is the underwater shooting mode?
There are many underwater housing/enclosures made for the Power Shot cameras. This mode setting is for when they are in these enclosures.

Can all memory cards hold HD video?

Any memory card can "hold" HD video...but not all are fast enough to play it back. For example, SDHC is not only a larger capacity version of the SD memory format but is considerably faster. Standard SD could hold a HD file when copied to it but most are not fast enough to play it back.

What digital camera is able to optically zoom while filming?

This is not an issue reading tech. about any camera.
When it comes to digital still compact cameras the zoom function is usually disabled when in movie mode.
Some of the Sony Cyber-Shot cameras were said to have zoom in movie mode.

Can I use the HDMI port on a HD cable box to connect blu-ray player

I have a yamaha home theater receiver with no HDMI port but have an HDMI port on my HD cable receiver box. Can I use the HDMI port on the cable box to connect a quality blu-ray player with built in wireless capability?
The port on the cable box is a Output port as is the port on the Blu-Ray. They a pre-configured as output only, not bi-directional.

Will running two into one R/B/G cables work properly? Is there a switch box for this application?

My cable box and DVR both connect to my TV via R/B/G cables but my TV only has one input for these. Can I run two sets of cables into a splitter into the TV without loss of signal quality?
Search for a component video switcher...this may be what you need.

What is the better lens...55-250 or 75-300? and why.

One of the best ways to determine a zoom lens choice is to have the lens pick up where your stock lens leaves off.
If your stock lens is a 35-70mm lens go with the 75-300mm.
Most lenses come on both IS (Image Stabilized) and non IS version. The longer the zoom factor the more helpful the IS feature is.

Which DVD player plays both European and US DVD's?

European video is Pal and generally region 2 or 4.
Not many US DvD player will accept that format. US being region 1.
Try looking for a Region-Free play that will play any disc from any region.

Dust behind/inside my lens...

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the proper way to remove dust behind my lens of my camera. I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W290. It's about 2 and a half years old. I tried using a dusting cloth and compressed air but once the lens in clean, you can see the dust inbetween the lens when you zoom in and out. It's terrible... so much dust that it's actually ruining my pictures. When I try and focus it will not if it's zoomed at all... Please let me know what I can do! Thank you in advance.
Sorry to say that this may not be something the consumers can take care of. It would be best to contact Sony...if it can be cleaned they will advice you on what can be done.
