Good camera for shooting fast objects (Fast shutter speed)?

I need a DSLR (preferably a nikon since I can borrow lenses from my friends) that has a fast shutter speed for taking nature pictures (humming bird) and for people (gymnasts) so is there any nikon with an extremely fast shutter speed?
All Digital-SLR cameras have fast enough shutter speeds to do this shot. Be it a entry level or pro-range camera.
What helps is having what is referred to as a "Fast Lens". The reason it is called "Fast" is that the aperture will go to a large opening to let in a lot of light to allow the high...fast... shutter speeds. The numbers are a little confusing in that the smaller the number the larger the lens aperture will go.
A f/1.4 is faster than a f/1.7...and that is faster than a f/2.8. The smaller the number, the bigger the opening and the more light is let in..the more light the higher the speed of shutter that can be used.
If you don't have a fast lens it wouldn't matter what the max shutter speed the camera has because there wouldn't be enough light to allow exposure.

My LG Plasma take 2-4 times of pressing power to actually turn on, any suggestions?

Every time we turn on our LG Plasma TV that is a little over 3 years old it will click like its turning on and then shut off right away. Then it will either stay on with sound and no picture or it will do the same click and shut off. Finally after it will turn on with no picture, one more try will get it to actually turn on. Not enough to toss it out right now but we would like to get it fixed to avoid the frustration.
Could be a power module issue. Contact LG to see about getting it resolved.

can I use 60mb/s memory card with 40mb/s card reader

will Rocketfish cf/sd/sdhc card reader with 40MB/second read the 60MB/s $279 sandisk 16gb to my hp 6235nr pavillion computor all of which have been purchased at your Cape Cod store...the card reader yesterday at recommendation by salesmen Scott for my cannon 7d bought last month also at your store.
It should be able to read and access the card but will probably only read at up to 40 mb/s peek.

what digital camera works with windows me 2000

i am trying to find a digital camera that will work with old windows 2000 me , do they make any anymore. thank you.
Windows ME was not a very stable OS and phased out quickly. Drivers will probably not be available for most current cameras to work with ME.

I'm looking for a camera with a good zoom which will be used for taking sports pictures

I'm a grandparent who wants something simple, but will take great pictures.
If you are looking into Digital-SLR cameras any of the entry level D-SLR cameras will do. I would advice to get a 70-300mm zoom lens for sport shots. Image stabilization is also helpful.
If you are not wanting to go the D-SLR route look into a Advanced Compact. They have the look and feel of a D-SLR but smaller, they do not have a removable lens and have Live View.
Best to look for one with 16x or more optical zoom for sports.

What is the best SD card for ReadyBoost?

For Windows 7, I wanted to add 8 or 16GB of memory for ReadyBoost. However, none of the memory devices at Best Buy are labled as ReadyBoost capable (as there are specifications).
Class 6 may be fast enough for ready boost. When the memory is inserted the system it should ask you if you want to add to speed up the system...it should then test the speed of the memory...if it is fast enough it will set it for ready boost.

What is the better camera???

I have my options narrowed down to two, and wondering what would be better???
Iam looking for great pictures, good zoom and burst.
The two I have picked out are the Cannon SX210 IS and the Nikon P100.
Which one would fit the bill better????
Thank you
When it comes to optical zoom the Nikon P100 beats out the Canon at almost double. The Nikon P100 is at 26x optical zoom and the Canon SX210 IS is only at 14x optical. Optical zoom is always much better than digital zoom.
The Nikon P100 is what is referred to as a Advanced Digital Camera...stepping up from the standard Compact Camera...having some of the features of a Digital-SLR. You will actually have some manual control allowing greater creativity and more shooting options.
All the way around the Nikon P100 will fit the bill for your shooting needs and more.

DTV Converter compatibility with cable hookup in RV Parks

Will a digital tv converter pickup the chanels from the Cable in an Rv park the way the analog
tvs do. Have a tv in the rv where the tuner is out but video and audio inputs are ok.
Hate to change it because of the fit.
It should as long as the power connection in the RV are compatible.
