How can I duplicate Audio Outputs?

I need to duplicate the audio output from my cable tv box to provide audio inputs to (1) bluRay recorder, (2) home theater system, (3) tv, and (4) computer audio input. Is there an appliance which will do that and keep each audio input isolated from each other? [Don't suggest a mixer; that's for many inputs to one output; I need one input to many outputs.] Thanks!
This can been taken care of with a AV (Audio Video) Distribution Amplifier. Usually they have a single input and 4 or more outputs.

Whatever Lens fix for SLR camera

i want to know if i buy a SLR camera. Is that possible to use any type of lens for my camera?
Generally you will need to get the lens made for that camera brand. Nikon for Nikon and Canon for Canon. Some brands, like Sony can use other lenses, Minolta lenses will work on Sony Alpha Digital-SLR's.
There is also other manufactures of lenses...Tamron for example makes lenses for many different camera bodies.

plz recommend entry level DSLR

i have been using the SONY DSC 828 and similar digital cameras. i would like to graduate to DSLR but i am not a professional. i want a simple camera which is easy to use and very important that it shouldnt be too bulky or too heavy. mostly my usage is for family pics especially when travelling abroad. i need something which i can carry around with me for the entire day and take super pics but it shouldnt break my back in the process. is that too much to ask?
Canon, Nikon, Olympus and Sony all have great entry level Digital-SLR cameras. Most costing not very much more than a high end Compact or Advanced Compact.
The entry level are slightly smaller and much lighter than the high end Digital-SLR. The higher end are usually a metal frame and larger body.
The best thing is to stop by your nearest BestBuy and look at the Digital-SLR cameras in the demo area. Look for one that feels good in YOUR hands. If you will be traveling I would suggest that you also get a 75-300mm lens. You will be glad you did.

Should I get the Olympus PEN or Sony aNEX or even the Canon T1i?

I am going to be studying abroad in Scotland this fall and I need a new camera! I will be traveling quite a bit, so which camera do I buy?
Any of the 3 are a good choice. Some things to consider...
1) The Canon will have a more traditional feel and look. That is, it will feel the way a SLR camera will feel. It will also be bigger and heavier. Take a little more room in packing. There will be many more lenses available that will work on the Canon camera.
2) The Sony NEX and Olympus Pen are new model cameras. The available lenses are few right now. The plus side is they are small body cameras, the Sony being the smallest. Packing should be a breeze.

i have mini dv sony. i have toshiba dvd recorder. can I make dvd. ?

If your DvD Recorder is stand alone, that is not connected to a computer, you can.
You will need the A/V (Audio Video) cable that came with your camcorder. Connect it to the camera and then connect it to the inputs of the DvD Recorder. They are color coded..just put Red to Red, White to White and Yellow to Yellow.
Using the remote for the DvD select input until you see the signal from the camcorder. You can now start coping your tapes to DvD.

Nikon Creative Lighting System

Is the SU-800 commander required to use the SB-600 as a wireless unit off camera or can the SB-600 be used as a wireless stand alone unit as implied in the manual on page 199?
Some of the Nikon cameras such as the D80, D200, D70, D70s, F6, D2X, D2H, and D2Hs have built in wireless control and will work with the SB-600 directly when the menu settings are correctly set and the on camera flash is up. This is the antenna for triggering the off camera flash.
Not all camera models have the built in wireless controller. Models that do not have the built in controller will need the SU-800 commander/transmitter or SB-800 which is a Speed Flash and commander/transmitter.
The owners manual of your camera should show if your camera has built in wireless control.

what's wrong with my tv,it shows a red light that says lamp?

i have a mitzsibitshi big sceen tv. it was working good one minute then it started to where it would not come on. everytime i cut it on it will cut right back off no picture will show no sound either, but a red light will appear that says LAMP and my tv does not come on anymore. can you tell me what's wrong with my tv, can it be fixed,,how much will it cost ,can i fix it myseif ? someone told me it may need abulb if it is the bulb, can i buy one in a store here or do i have to order it and have it shipped,.how much do a bulb cost? thank you.
The Lamp indicator does usually imply that the backlight lamp has gone out and that "bulb" needs replaced. Without knowing the model and year of Manufacture Date it had to say anything more.
You could contact Mitsubishi for advice.

OUT DOOR TV

I have a screened in porch and it is pre wired for an outdoor TV. What type and brand of TV can be wall mounted outside in an area where it will not be rained on but exposed to all other elements.

Let me know,
SunBrite TVs are designed with this in mind.
They have various sizes available.

Time lapse video...

I want to do a time lapse recording of a construction project that I will be doing this weekend... what would be a good camera to do this with?
If you are looking to speed up the video to look like time lapse any camcorder will work. It is not a feature built into the camcorder rather a editing issue.
Once the footage is captured on a computer and put on the Time Line of the editing software you can either speed up or time compress the play back to get the Time Lapse look.
There is several tutorials on this type of editing online..google search for "time lapse video editing" to find some.

Shock proof , water proof digital camera ?

The Olympus SW series of cameras are Shock and Weather resistant cameras. Pentax and Samsung also have a few Weather resistant cameras now. Usually a "SW" or "WS" in the model number indicates a Weather and Shock resistance...but not always. Read the specs to be sure.
