Need camera comparable to Kodak Easyshare LS573

I am not very knowledgeable about cameras - except that I love my LS573! However, it has seen many rough days, been dropped several times, and is no longer working as well as it once did. I am hoping to find something comparable - but, I really don't know what the specifications of this camera are, but I see that Kodak no longer makes this particular model. Can you point me in the right direction? I am also trying to stay under $200, if possible. One thing that I LOVE about this camera is that it takes multiple pictures in a row very quickly, without my changing any settings. To be honest, I don't know the actual rate - just that it seems faster than my friends' cameras, and they all comment on it!
I wasn't able to find anything about a Kodak Easyshare LS573...but bib find a LS753.
The continuous shooting mode for the LS753 is 3fps (frames per second).
You could take a look at the Kodak - EasyShare M530.

What sdhc is best for Kodak Z950

For just shooting photos class 4 would be fine. If shooting HD video class 6 would be better.

Adapter available?

I am attempting to transfer all my VHS and Hi-8 tapes to DVD via computer. Is there a cable with USB on one end and composite (red/white/yellow) on the other?
The Pinnacle Dazzle should have everything you need to transfer the footage.

Toddler and Point & Shoot

I have a nikon that I have loved for far too long. Its pretty well and dead. I am borrowing my mom's D100 SLR which I love, but its just TOO big and probably too much camera for me. I was looking at the S8000...I really just need a point and shoot that takes good pictures and has a fast shutter speed, as my daughter is quick! Any ideas? I really liked the quality of my Nikon (as compared to friends Cannons).
Take a look at the P100 and the P110. These are Advanced Compact cameras so they are lighter and smaller than a Digital-SLR but look similar and have some of the feature.
Shutter lag is less than a regular compact but still not as fast as a Digital-SLR.

hz stands for Hertz. It is the speed at witch the image refreshes itself. Some of the common cycle hz is 60hz, 65hz and 120hz.

I'm looking for a camera with a view finder and tilting screen.

I spend my time in the sun! I like looking through a view finder rather than using my hands to block the sun while I'm composing my picture.
Take a look at the Sony a330. It has a viewfinder, tilt screen and built in Steady Shot.

No sound

Bought an Insignia DVD/HDTV combo and have an older Motorola DVR from Comcast. The cable box does not have a HDMI port. I purchased a DVI - HDMI adapter, but have no sound. What type of audio cable do I need? And where to I connect it on the cable box and tv?
DVI does not carry a audio signal. Usually the 1st audio inputs pair to the HDMI input. You can connect standard RCA audio cables from the DVR to the TV.
You could also use the RGB (component video) inputs of the TV and the RGB outputs from the DVR.
Check the owners manual for the TV which audio input is paired to the RGB inputs.

Difference between point and shoots and SLR cameras???

Iam trying to debate to spend less with a point and shoot and still get great pics or upgrade and spend a bit more with the SLR??????
Iam looking for really good zoom, really good pic quality (megapixels) and the ability to take mutiple action shots in a row.....
Any Advice???
The term "Point - and - Shoot" simply implies that there is little thought to the operation of the camera other than pointing it at your subject and pushing the button. Compact cameras are that way, little to no manual control.
A Digital-SLR camera can also be a "Point - and - Shoot" camera. It also has a Full Auto mode where it makes all the decisions for the photographer except composition of the shot, plus can be manual when needed.
Just some of the big benefits of a Digital-SLR over the Compact Camera is:
Much larger sensor (3 times larger or more) giving a sharper, more colorful image that can be enlarged much better.
Almost Unlimited optical zoom by different lenses and attachments.
Full manual control for total creative control.
...and much more.
Cost of entry level Digital-SLR cameras are now not much more than a high end Compact and the final image is far better.
