I am looking to buy an used Canon EOS 350D (Rebel XT) DSLR, the only reservation I have is that it does not have a "live view" on the LCD, I need some advise, thanks.
The 350D is a really nice camera. The 300D was my first Digital-SLR and I shot several years with it. If you are use to taking pictures with a compact camera than you are in the habit of using the LCD to compose the shot. On a Digital-SLR you look through the view finder. Many photographers find this much better because it isolates you from distractions...lets you concentrate on just what you want to photograph. Live View has its uses but if you are changing to a Digital-SLR to improve your photographic skills you will find a view finder more useful.
The differences between a Compact Camera and a Digital-SLR are many, but one of the most noticeable differences is that on a Compact Digital Camera you look at a screen on the back to compose the shot and you look through a viewfinder on a Digital-SLR. Live View if when a Digital-SLR acts like a compact and shows you the shot LIVE on the LCD screen. Cameras with Live View and a view finder give you the option to use one or the other.
The "Magic" button usually refers to a Star shaped button on a remote. The button will probably not be named "Magic". The OneforAll remotes commonly have this button.
There is step by step instructions at the Panasonic site on updating firmware by burning a CD with the update. Search for your model at the site and there should be instructions there.
My LG LCD tv is about 2 and half years old. I've loved it until I had to move. It was handled delicately and not dropped (I moved it on cushioned seat). Now it only flashes green and red and won't cut on. I called the LG hotline and all they said was to unplug it and then plug it back in. I also read there's a reset button, but I can't find it. HELP!!
Usually the reset button is very tiny and in a pinhole. This makes it so the button does not get pushed accidentally. You will need something to insert into the hole...a straightened paper clip works well for this...insert and press gently and hold for 30seconds. Remove the clip and try turning on the TV as normal. If this does not solve the problem it should be taken in for servicing.
Generally using the A/V Cables (Audio Video) that came with the camera should allow you to connect and view the video on any TV through the A/V inputs on the TV.
The only suggestion is that there should be a menu area for color calibration and convergence. Around that area you should be able to reduce separate intensities.
Converter in what way? To use a Flash on a different camera or to use with a soft box or reflector? ...or... Memory? As in use a SD memory in a Compact Flash card? By the way....Yes for a SD stick to CF Card adapter.
