Need help deciding on camera

My husband and I own our own remodeling business, and I take before and after pictures of the jobs. I was wondering what type of dslr camera would show the details better. I have a point and shoot, but i am not happy with it. any help would be great.
Any of the entry level Digital-SLR cameras will work fine for this type of photo work. Generally the stock lens that comes with all basic camera kits...usually a 18-55mm...would get a fairly wide shot.
If the kit doesn't come with that size lens ( some come with a 35-70mm) it would be best to get come that starts at 18mm or lower. You will want that lower mm size to more area in the photo.

The picture on my new samsung can be ridiculously dark,

Some shows and channels are fine, but others are so dark it looks like there is no lighting at all. The faces are the only thing that looks normal, but even their clothes are dark. But I can change the channel and it's okay. i don't want to have to change the settings with every channel switch! I watched the dvd "Changeling" and it was very dark and there was an odd look to the picture, like it was shot with a video camera, sort of looked like a soap opera, not a prime time show or movie -- does this make sense?
Sounds like the auto image adjust might be at fault. Try setting the TV back to factory default settings. Without knowing the specific model it is hard to say what might be the cause.

Is there a bluray and vhs player combo.

There are several but not many. The Panasonic DMP-BD70V is one example.

What is the difference between a Nikon d5000 and Nikon d5000DX?

The package deals on Best Buy's website differ between these two cameras, and I was wondering what the difference was (what DX means) and which was the better buy.
The is just a longer name for the same camera. The "DX" shows that it is part of the Nikon DX line which is the APS-C sensor size. Equipment that is DX is directly compatible with cameras in the DX category.
The FX line is the full size sensor cameras.

Are all Flat screen TVs plasma? Does the P in1080P stand for plasma?.

Are all flat screen tv's plasma.
Does the P in 1080P stand for Plasma
The "p" in 1080p stands fro "Progressive". A frame type related to video play back. 1080i is for "Interlaced".
Interlaced is two fields of video overlapping each other.
Progressive is where one field of video follows another one frame at a time.
Progressive is the better way.
Flat panel TVs come in both Plasma and LCD.

is 1080 better in a plasma or lcd

Plasma is known to have better darks and color than standard LCD, however LED LCD TVs are also better in this range over standard LCD too.

Sound but no picture

I have a Samsung lcd tv. It worked fine last night. Today I have sound but no picture. I've tried everything I know to do but still no picture. HELP!!!
I'm about to lose my happy home!!!
Without knowing what ...everything...you have tried I'll suggest...1) Unplug the power over night. 2) If you are using an HDMI cable to try another one. 3) Check your owners manual on Backlight replacement. 4) If none of that helps...Take it to your nearest BestBuy for servicing.

kodak zi8

can you shoot stop motion video with a z18 ?
Technically stop motion is just the taking of one frame of subject at a time, making a small change of movement then taking another frame.
This being the case any camera should work.
